Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I really enjoyed doing last week’s clean. I’m hoping this week’s will be as successful. It’s hard for me to get rid of these first 100 books because these are all books I own but some of them I’ve had for years now and probably need to let go of. Here is how it works:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
The Books:
Guardians of The Galaxy, Volume 1: Cosmic Avengers By Brian Michael Bendis
This is a comic so this is something I could finish within a couple of hours.

The Cuckoo’s Calling By Robert Galbriath
This is another book that I have the first and second book. I feel because of that I don’t want to get rid of it. So I’ll give this a chance.

Mr. Mercedes By Stephen King
Okay but do you see this cover?!?! I love it!

P.S. I Love You By Cecelia Ahern
This is a book I’ve really wanted to try. I want to watch the movie after I read the book.

Sybil By Flora Rheta Schreiber
I saw the movie years ago in school and found it super interesting. I had to get the book to get more details about her.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West By Gregory Maguire
I really love the play a lot. I thought I would wanna check out the play but I honestly think I’m going to pass.

Creep By Jennifer Hillier
This book seems super interesting and seems like something I would really enjoy.

Delirium By Lauren Oliver
I was rereading the summary of this one and it doesn’t really interest me anymore.

The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo By Stieg Larsson
This is a series I’ve heard a lot of great things about. I wanna give it a chance still.

If I Stay By Gayle Forman
I really want to read a book by Gayle Forman. I’ve heard a lot about them. This one just doesn’t interest me.

This week I made so more progress. I got rid of 3 books which in total now has brought to have removed 7 books in total which I have to say is overall pretty good. If I can remove a couple from my TBR list every week then that’s fine with me. I do feel it’s been a bit tough picking which ones to get rid of. I also feel like I have to get rid of something every week just because but I know I don’t have to. It is nice seeing my list slowly shrink. Already can’t wait to see what books next week tackles!

Right. I feel a lot better now. I bought books 1 & 2 from Book Outlet and then I kinda forgot about them. I need to pick them up at some point.

Noo so sad to see If I Stay go but I completely understand why. Also, good choice on Delirium. The series gets worse so it’s not worth it in my opinion.

I know so many people like If I Stay but right now I feel I needed to remove it. I can see it making a comeback at some point. I’m so sad to hear about Delirium.

Yay! Clean out that TBR!! I started doing this too, and I love seeing my TBR getting a little smaller bit by bit.

It is such a nice feeling. I feel like it forces me to remove books which I was usually scared to do. It’s a nice feeling seeing it go down little by little.

I have Mr Mercedes on my TBR too, since there’s a TV show out for it I’m even more excited to read it. YAY FOR GETTING RID OF IF I STAY man I disliked that book so much, seriously you’re better with out XD

I wanna read the book so bad now after seeing the commercials. I completely forgot it aired so I didn’t even get to record it. I gotta find it. It’s funny seeing different people’s tastes on here. Someone was sad I got rid of If I Stay. I can see myself maybe in the future checking it out but honestly it didn’t sound very interesting so it had to go.

hahah there was a completely weird sex scene where the characters played each other like instrument at the start and I was just like what is even happening xD I think if i had read it when it came out I could have liked it but not now.
I haven’t watched the trailer! I plan on reading before I look/watch anything 😀
