Hey guys! It’s time for another Top 5 Wednesday. It’s been a little while since I did one of these. I’m very excited for this week’s topic. I decided for this topic, I’m going to talk about books I’ve recently read and what made me decide to pick them up.
The topic is : Books You’ve Read Because of Booktube/Blogging/etc. –Discuss the books you’ve picked up because you’ve heard of them in the online book community or platform you use.1. I Found You By Lisa Jewell
Reason: This was a book that I remember requesting because I saw someone talking about how amazing it was. I knew I needed to attempt requesting it. I ended up getting lucky and received a copy. I will say it did not disappoint. (I will have a review of this soon.)
2. Girl in Snow By Danya Kukafka
Reason: This was a book I got sent by the publisher. This was sent to me because I requested books that were similar to it in the past. I’m not sure if I would have picked this up on my own. I have seen it advertised to me so I might have added it to my TBR at some point.
3. And the Trees Crept in By Dawn Kurtagich
Reason: This is a book that I’ve heard time and time again how amazing it was. Everyone mentioned how it creeped them out. They also said how shocked they were by the ending. After I heard this I knew this was something I needed to pick up.
Best Day Ever By Kaira Rouda
Reason: This is a book I ended up discovering at Book Con. One of the booths was giving away books based on what you liked. You go up to one of the people there and you tell them what types of books interest you. This was the book the guy picked out for me. My friend and I found this randomly and I’m so happy we did.
A Monster Calls By Patrick Ness
Reason: This is another book I heard amazing things about it. I feel I may have picked it up at some point since they made the movie about it. The community made me get it sooner by all the great reviews about it.
What are books you’ve read because of the community? I would love to hear from you guys!
