Hey guys I am sorry I have been so M.I.A lately. I was on such a streak in October and then month has been very draining. My house is getting work done and I just have been stressing out about a bunch of stuff. I haven’t been in the mood to write. I knew I had to post a blog talking about Morgan Matson’s new cover reveal. So let’s do this!
Save the Date By Morgan Matson
Genre: Contemporary, Young Adult
Pages: 480 pages
Publication Date: June 5th 2018
Publisher: Simon Schuster Books for Young Readers
Plot: Father of the Bride meets Sixteen Candles in the latest novel from New York Times bestselling author Morgan Matson.
Charlie Grant’s older sister is getting married this weekend at their family home, and Charlie can’t wait—for the first time in years, all four of her older siblings will be under one roof. Charlie is desperate for one last perfect weekend, before the house is sold and everything changes. The house will be filled with jokes and games and laughs again. Making decisions about things like what college to attend and reuniting with longstanding crush Jesse Foster—all that can wait. She wants to focus on making the weekend perfect.
The only problem? The weekend is shaping up to be an absolute disaster.
There’s the unexpected dog with a penchant for howling, house alarm that won’t stop going off, and a papergirl with a grudge.
There are the relatives who aren’t speaking, the (awful) girl her favorite brother brought home unannounced, and a missing tuxedo.
Not to mention the neighbor who seems to be bent on sabotage and a storm that is bent on drenching everything. The justice of the peace is missing. The band will only play covers. The guests are all crazy. And the wedding planner’s nephew is unexpectedly, distractingly…cute.
Over the course of three ridiculously chaotic days, Charlie will learn more than she ever expected about the family she thought she knew by heart. And she’ll realize that sometimes, trying to keep everything like it was in the past means missing out on the future.
My thoughts: I am so excited for this book! I love the cover so much. It looks like it’s going to be a fun ride. I love books with chaos. As long as it’s not my life, I’m fine with that. Plus there is a dog on the cover and on the back of the book! You can never go wrong with that. I wish there was a behind the scenes of this photo shoot because it seems like it would have some fun bloopers.
Not only was the cover reveled but you can also read majority of Chapter 2 on bustle.com. Here is the link to it! Already something is going wrong and I love that it’s only the 2nd chapter in the book. I can just already feel how exciting of a ride this book is going to be.
If you guys are interested in this book and you are a huge Morgan Matson fan I highly recommend pre-ordering it. All the first edition copies of these books are going to be signed by Morgan so make sure you do it before it’s too late.
