Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! It’s been two weeks since I did my last Down The TBR Hole. I am so sad because I know I could have been under 700 by now but it’s okay. I’m hoping after this one I can get it down to the 600s. So let’s do this!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
A Court of Thorns and Roses By Sarah J. Maas
This is a book I ended up getting free from a random stranger. I owe the woman who bought me the book. I need to at least try to see if I like this book.
Judgement: Keep
Different Seasons By Stephen King
I really wanted to read this after seeing The Shawshank Redemption. I had no idea that was a book turned into a movie. I have been on such a Stephen King kick lately. I really do need to check this out soon.
Judgement: Keep
Nineteen Minutes By Jodi Picoult
I think I own this book but looking at reviews they are very mixed. I think I’m going to pass on this for now.
Judgement: Go
Now You See By S.J. Bolton
I reread the description of this book and it mentions Jack the Ripper. I can’t pass on something dealing with Jack the Ripper. I have to check this out.

Awakening By Sharon Bolton
Overall this book has great reviews. I am willing to give it a chance. I will probably read Now You See Me before this. If I don’t like it. I will end up removing it from my list.
Judgement: Keep
Mercy by Jodi Picoult
I reread the description for this and right now I’m just no interested in it. I can see myself coming back to this is I end up really enjoying Jodi’s other books.
Judgement: Go
My Sister’s Keeper By Bill Benners
I am no longer interested in this book.
Judgement: Go
A Small Indiscretion By Jan Ellison
This is one of those books I can see leaving on my list and just forgetting about it. So I’m going to remove it from my list.
Judgement: Go
They Thirst By Robert R. McCammon
This is another book I don’t really have any interest in picking up. It just doesn’t interest me.
Judgement: Go
Vicious By V.E. Schwab
V.E. Schwab is an author I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about. I feel she’s going to be one of those authors I regret getting into so late. I can’t wait to read one of her books.
Judgement: Keep
Have you guys read any of these books? I know some of these are pretty popular so I might end up changing my mind at some point. For now I’m going to keep them this way.
I definitely want to read The Shawshank Redemption too. I love Stephen King! I wanted to love ACOTAR because everyone did, but it wasn’t my favorite. It did get really good by the end though and I hear the second book is way better so I’m going to read that sometime.
