Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! This is offically my 20th Down the TBR Hole. I can’t believe I have done 20 of these so far. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my TBR lower in number so this is a fun post for me. So let’s dive in and see how this week goes!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
Black Chalk By Christopher J. Yates
This is a book I picked up last year at my library book sale. I haven’t gotten to it yet but I hope to at some point this year. It sounds super interesting.

The Ritual By Adam Nevill
This is a book that has a decent amount mixed reviews. I think I am going to pass on it for not. I feel if I keep it on my TBR, I probably will forget about it.

Anna and the French Kiss By Stephanie Perkins
I do like my contemporaries every once in a while. I have been wanting to check this series out for a while. I’ve heard good things about it. So maybe 2018 will be the year I do so.

Shadowland By Peter Straub
I saw the words master magician and I am sold. I love magic. I think it’s so interesting to read. I will be keeping this on my list.

Royal Wedding By Meg Cabot
When I first heard about this I told myself I would finish the Princess Diary books then check this out. I attempted to read them and I just couldn’t get into them. They are quick books but I’m not as interested as I once was. I do still love the movies though.

Hausfrau By Jill Essbaum
I just read the synopsis for this book and I’m not interested in it anymore. I am not sure why I added this to my TBR. I will be removing it.

The Weight of Blood By Laura McHugh
So I originally put that I wanted to keep this but I know this is going to be a book that just ends up sitting on my TBR. Maybe I’ll come across it again at some point.

Before He Finds Her By Michael Kardos
I think I’m going to pass on this one. There is nothing drawing to it.

The Man From Berlin By Luke McCallin
I’m not super into historical fiction. I just know I’m not going to read this.

Touch By Claire North
This book sounds really interesting. It hasn’t been on my radar cause I’ve forgotten about it. I definitely want to read this at some point.

It really does. It’s so intimidating having such a huge TBR so seeing it go down is a great feeling.

Oddly enough I was at the bookstore last night (not the odd part) and saw Hausfrau By Jill Essbaum. I almost picked it up, but then I read the synopsis and it was not grand.
