Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! A couple of these I remember adding and some of them I’m not super familiar with. I’m excited to refresh my memory. So let’s dive in!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
Perfume: The Story of a Murder By Patrick Suskind, John E. Woods (Translator)
I feel like this is a classic mystery book that I should attempt to read. It sounds interesting and different from other mysteries so I’d like to give it a shot.
Judgement: Keep
Naked Lunch By William S. Burroughs, James Grauerholz (Editor), and Barry Miles (Editor)
After reading the description of this book I don’t have any interest in it. I know I’m not going to pick it up anytime soon. So I’m just going to remove it.
Judgement: Go
Snuff By Chuck Palahniuk
I was going to keep this because I like Chuck Palahniuk but most the reviews are really low for this book. A lot of people who are fans of Chuck say this isn’t his best work. So I’m just going to say myself the time.
Judgement: Go
Snuff By Eric Enck
I honestly forgot I had this book on my list. I know main reason I added it was because of how disturbing it’s suppose to be. I have to at least check it out.
Judgement: Keep
The Wasp Factory By Iain Banks
This book has pretty good ratings. It also is pretty short. I’m willing to give you a chance.
Judgement: Keep
Drinking: A Love Story By Caroline Knapp
I don’t have any interest in reading this story anymore.
Judgement: Go
A Piece of Cake By Cupcake Brown
This is a book that I know is just going to end up sitting on my TBR list. I just have a bunch of other books I want to read. I also feel like I’m going to forget about it.
Judgement: Go
Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America By Leslie Knope
Parks and Recreation is one of my favorite shows. I love everything about this show. I have looked through the book and it seems like a lot of fun. This seems like something I’d read over time.
Judgement: Keep
In the Miso Soup By Ryu Murakami, Ralph McCarthy (Translation)
I was debating taking this off my TBR but I want to give it a chance. It has a lot of good reviews. I want to keep it on my list for now.
Judgement: Keep
Bird Box By Josh Malerman
I have heard nothing but amazing things about this book. I finally asked for it for Christmas. I read a little of it and I’m super interested in it. I can’t wait to actually read it.
