Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I am doing this post early because I want to make sure I have plenty of time for Thrillerathon. It’s a readathon that has been happening since Saturday the 17th. Anyway, last Down The TBR was really good. I got rid of 6 books. Let’s hope this one is just as good.
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
The Stranger By Harlan Coben
I am very interested in this book just from the summary. I have been wanting to read something from Harlan in a while. This will hopefully be the first one I read.

This is a book I’m pretty iffy about. I don’t really remember adding it to my TBR. I feel if I keep it on there, I’ll just end up forgetting about it.

Where We Belong By Emily Giffin
So I’ve been debating if I should read this or not. I’ve only really liked a couple of Emily’s books. I bought a bunch from book outlet thinking I would like them. I think I’ll give this one a go. If I don’t like it then I’m just going to remove her other book off my TBR as well.

A Reunion of Ghosts By Judith Claire Mitchell
I am honestly not so sure why I added this book to my TBR. This book does not seem like a book I would really go for.

This One Summer By Mariko Tamaki, Jillian Tamaki
I feel like I just flock to books about the summer. I love books with a summer setting. Clearly in this case it’s because summer is in the title. Since this is a comic I’ll keep it on my list.

The Girl with a Clock for a Heart By Peter Swanson
I really want to read a book by Peter Swanson so bad. I have heard great things about his book. I am forcing myself to pick up one this year. Maybe it will be this one.

Why Not Me? By Mindy Kaling
I really enjoyed Mindy’s last autobiography. I really would like to reread it on audio and then read this one. Last time I read her book I wasn’t familiar with her Office references. I now have watched The Office several times.

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao By Junot Diaz
I have a copy of this book. The more I think about this I’ve realized it’s not really a book for me. I have always wanted to read it because it’s one of those books you see everywhere. I know I won’t be able to read all the books on my TBR. I need to focus on books I know I’ll enjoy. Sadly I don’t think it’s for me.

This sounds like it could be a good book. Seeing from the reviews though, I’m going to have to pass on it.

I already know that I want to remove this from my list. I’m no longer interested in reading it.
