Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I added a couple of books to my TBR but not too many. This week won’t be the week I go under 600 but hopefully next week will. Let’s see what this week has in store.
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.
The Bachlorette Party By Karen McCullah Lutz
I’m a huge fan of the movie Bridesmaids. This book gives me those kind of vibes. I see this book has some mixed reviews but I’m going to give it a chance. It seems like it could be a lot of fun.

The Swimmer By Joakim Zander
I’m not sure how I found out about this book. The premise of it does sound very interesting. I think I want to keep it on my list and check it out.

The Harder They Come By T.C. Boyle
I think I added this because I really liked the cover. I read the summary of it and I’m not really interested in it.

Black Sunday By Thomas Harris
I read The Hannibal series by Thomas Harris (besides the last one) and I really liked it. I wanted to check out his other books. This sounds right up my alley. It does give me some Mr. Mercedes vibes a little so I really want to check this out.

Little Bee By Chris Cleave
So my friend recommended this to me a while back. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a while. It doesn’t really seem like something I’d read. I did go through the book and saw she highlighted some stuff and it caught my eye. I want to give this book a try.

The Last Winter of Dani Lancing By P.D. Viner
I see a lot of mixed reviews on this book so I am going to pass on it.

What She Knew By Gilly Macmillan
This is a book I have been wanting to read for a while now. I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet. It is currently on sale for the ebook on amazon so I think I might get it. I have a coupon for an ebook.

Alice (The Chronicles of Alice) By Christina Henry
So a while back my boyfriend and I tried to read Alice in Wonderland. We couldn’t get into it. I saw someone talking about this and it seems very interesting. It also has a lot of good reviews from people I follow. I want to check it out.

Slade House By David Mitchell
This is another book I’ve been wanting to read for a while. I almost picked it up at one point but I didn’t really want to read it on ebook.
Judgement: Keep
The Opposite of Me By Sarah Pekkanen
I feel this was another book I added because of the cover. I don’t really have any interest in reading this anymore.
Judgement: Go
TBR Start Number: 612
Number of Books Kept: 7 Books
Number of Books Gotten Rid of: 3 Books
Current Number on TBR: 609
Have you guys read any of these books? I would love to hear your thoughts if you had.
Down the TBR Hole is a brilliant idea I’m definitely going to steal. 🙂 Little Bee is a good book. Alice by Christina Henry had glimmers of greatness but never quite came together. Gruesomeness aside, I think it just made me realize what a numbskull Alice is for eating and drinking things she shouldn’t.

I love Down the TBR so much. It has helped me lower my TBR a lot. I wish I had come up with the idea myself. That’s a shame to hear about Alice. It seemed interesting but I’m sad to hear that it doesn’t come quiet together.

I loved doing Down the TBR this week. Now that we’re talking about it, maybe I’ll do it again right now!

I feel it gets so therapeutic at times. It’s so nice removing books from your TBR.
