March Owlcrate Unboxing

Hey guys! I thought it would be fun to do a little something different on my blog today. My boyfriend recently bought me a subscription to Owlcrate. I was super excited because I really wanted to subscribe to the April box.

I’ve gotten two boxes from Owlcrate in the past. I really enjoyed both boxes a lot. I do love seeing how far Owlcrate has come. Plus I love the exclusive book covers and that the books come signed. It really makes the subscription worth it. So now Let’s dive in!Owlcrate boxSo the theme for this month was Across the Galaxy. Here is everything that was included in the box. I ended up really enjoying everything that was in this box. I thought it was very well done. mini funkoI was so excited when I saw they included a mini mystery funko. I am a huge fan of guardians and galaxy so I couldn’t wait to open this up. I ended up getting Nebula. I love the detail that is put in to it. I can’t wait to add her to my collection of funkos.Lunar Chronicles mugNext I saw they had included another mug. I was lucky to have been gifted the October 2017 box and it had the cutest Harry Potter mug. So I knew that this wasn’t going to disappoint. It didn’t! This ceramic mug is inspired by The Lunar Chronicles and was designed by Sasha Natasha. I was so happy I ended up reading The Lunar Chronicles last year.

Next is this amazing candle! I was excited when I saw this. I read Gemina last month too so it was great timing. The candle is sweet honeydew. It smells absolutely amazing. Plus the top of it is sprinkled in glitter. I know for this you either could have gotten a Hannah Donnelly inspired candle or a Kady Grant inspired candle. I really enjoyed Hannah so I am happy about this. This is an exclusive candle created by Wick & Fable.Star Wars bookmarkNext is this Star Wars bookmark. It’s funny because when I first saw it and read the quote it didn’t click with me. I guess that’s party because I’m not a huge Star Wars fan. Even though that’s the case this bookmark is gorgeous. I will be using this for when I read Heart of Iron and other fantasy’s I decide to pick up. It’s very well done. This watercolor bookmark was made by Lexy OliviaRed Rising posterNext was this really cool poster. Now I’ve never read Red Rising. I have been debating it for a while. I feel at some point I will end up checking this out. I do think it looks really awesome. If I was a fan of the book I would definitely buy a frame to put this on my wall. This was designed by Nerdy Post.Scarf and pinNext was this goregous scarf and pin. I love how cool this scarf looks. It gives me night time sky feels. I wish I could see the night sky all the time. It’s tough when you live in New York City. I think this scarf would make a great backdrop for photos. The scarf pattern was designed by Michelle Gray. The pin was illustrated by Spykles.Heart of Iron posterNext there was this awesome character poster. I mean look at all these characters. They look awesome. This really adds to my excitement to read the book. Really cool!note from authorBefore we get to the book, I figured I would post the note from the author, Ashley Poston. I thought this was so adorable. I love the colors and the design. I love how it gives you a little taste of what to expect in the story. Heart of Iron signedLast but not least, the book! I love how the cover change Owlcrate made is very simple. They changed the color of the title. They also added purple stained pages which you can knda see. I am in love with stained pages. I hope more books include stained pages. I was planning to read this book in April but I don’t think I’ll have the chance. So I’m planning to read it next month.

Plot: Seventeen-year-old Ana is a scoundrel by nurture and an outlaw by nature. Found as a child drifting through space with a sentient android called D09, Ana was saved by a fearsome space captain and the grizzled crew she now calls family. But D09—one of the last remaining illegal Metals—has been glitching, and Ana will stop at nothing to find a way to fix him.

Ana’s desperate effort to save D09 leads her on a quest to steal the coordinates to a lost ship that could offer all the answers. But at the last moment, a spoiled Ironblood boy beats Ana to her prize. He has his own reasons for taking the coordinates, and he doesn’t care what he’ll sacrifice to keep them.

When everything goes wrong, she and the Ironblood end up as fugitives on the run. Now their entire kingdom is after them—and the coordinates—and not everyone wants them captured alive.

What they find in a lost corner of the universe will change all their lives—and unearth dangerous secrets. But when a darkness from Ana’s past returns, she must face an impossible choice: does she protect a kingdom that wants her dead or save the Metal boy she loves?

I really enjoyed this box a lot! I felt like everything was really beautiful and so thought out. I can’t wait to receive my next Owlcrate box!

    1. Ah yeah it’s such a shame about shipping. 😦 I wish there was a way for it to be cheaper. I was hoping to get to Heart of Iron this month but I don’t see that happening. I will deff be reading it in May.
