Down The TBR Hole #34

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I really thought I’d be out of the 600s by now but seeing the books for this week it’s going to be hard. Plus I added a couple of books to my TBR so hopefully a week or so. I’m dying to get to the 500s. Anyway, let’s dive in!

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.

The Stand.jpgThe Stand By Stephen King

This book intimidates me so much. It’s over 1,000 pages which is something I’ve never attempted to do. I do want to read this at some point. It does have a lot of great reviews so I want to read it but maybe next year.

Good in BedGood In Bed By Jennifer Weiner

I read like a page of this a while back and really enjoyed it. I think I didn’t get my own copy of it until a year or so ago. I really want to read this. It’s just hasn’t been on my radar as a lot of other books.

SisterSister By Rosamund Lupton

This is a book I know if I keep it on my TBR it’s going to just end up sitting on there like it has. I also reread the summary and I’m not as super drawn to it as I’d like to be. I think I’m going to let this go.

Judgement: Go

OutlanderOutlander By Diana Gabaladon

This is a book I have been wanting to get to for a while now. I watched the first 2 seasons of the show. I love it so much. I haven’t seen season 3 yet. I think this is something I’m going to end up picking up on audiobook. The size intimidating.

When She WokeWhen She Woke By Hillary Jordon

I am interested in this book. It does sound cool. I do like the whole they change your skin color to the color of your crime. So that is what drew me into this book. However what I’m seeing from people’s reviews is going to make me pass. Overall just not the book for me.

The FiremanThe Fireman By Joe Hill

I own a copy of this book. I really want to read it. I’m not sure why I haven’t but I know I will end up getting to it sometime this year. It sounds really good.

Dexter By Design, Dexter is Delicious, Double Dexter and Dexter’s Final Cut By Jeff Lindsay

I decided to put these 4 all together since I already know the verdict and they are all by the same author. So I’m a big fan of Dexter the show, well only up to season 4. So I decided to read the books. I got into them and then I asked for a bunch for Christmas. So this is a series I want to reread but I do want to finish.

The Runaway JuryThe Runaway Jury By John Grisham

I love my mystery/thrillers but I’ve never read one about a jury before. I feel like this will be a nice different subject matter from my normal thrillers. I am very curious about this story.

The Perfect WitnessThe Perfect Witness By Iris Johansen

This book has a lot of mixed reviews. I think I’m honestly just going to pass on it.

Judgement: Go

TenTen By Gretchen McNeil

So I recently just hauled this last month. It gives me some serious And Then There Were None vibes. If you know that’s one of my favorite books. This one is YA but it still seems right up my alley. Plus it seems like a quick read.
