Down The TBR Hole #35

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I’m almost under 600 books which is such an exciting feeling. Hopefully sometime in this month. So let’s dive in!

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.

Never NeverNever Never By Colleen Hoover

This is a book I had some interest in reading when I first added to my TBR. Now I don’t really have any interest in reading it anymore.

Judgement: Go

Fates and FuriesFates and Furies By Lauren Groff

I think I’ve been drawn to this book because of the cover. I just ended up reading some of the reviews for it and a lot of people were saying it dragged on. I think I’m just going to end up passing on this one.

Judgement: Go

Follow You HomeFollow You Home By Mark Edwards

This is another book that seems to have mixed reviews. Since that is the case I know I’m not going to be in a rush to read it. I feel it’s a book I’m going to forget is on my TBR shelf to begin with. I’m going to let this one go.

Judgement: Go

The TroopThe Troop By Nick Cutter

I got another Nick Cutter book in a Nocturnal Reader’s Box. So when I saw this on sale I knew I had to grab it. I’ve heard great things about this book so I really can’t wait to read it.

Judgement: Keep

Doing HarmDoing Harm By Kelly Parsons

So I wasn’t sure how this book got on my TBR. Then I saw that Stephen King had a little review for this. It has a little bit of mixed reviews but I’m going to give it a shot.

Judgement: Keep

The LieThe Lie By Hesh Kestin

This is another book recommended by Stephen King. Once again this also has a bit of mixed reviews. I read the summary and I’m not very interested in it. I’m going to remove this from my list.

Judgement: Go

The Good NurseThe Good Nurse By Charlie Graeber

This books seems super interesting. I am really curious how this guy got away with killing so many patients. When did people start to realize it was actually him. I can’t wait to pick this up at some point.

Judgement: Keep

The Orphan Master's SonThe Orphan Master’s Son By Adam Johnson

Once again this is another book recommended by Stephen King. I reread the summary and again this doesn’t really feel like a book for me. I’m going to pas on it.

Judgement: Go

Heart of the MatterHeart of the Matter By Emily Giffin

I feel when it comes to Emily Giffin books they can be very hit or miss. I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve read from her. A couple of her books ended up being not very enjoyable. I bought this from Book Outlet a while back. I think I’m going to read it and hope it’s a good one.

Judgement: Keep

The StorytellerThe Storyteller By Jodi Picoult

So I’m pretty sure I bought this book a while back from Book Outlet too. I haven’t read it yet. I’ve heard good things about it. Plus Jenna @J.K. I’m Exploring is currently reading it so I can’t wait to see what she thinks. I’m going to keep it.

Judgement: Keep

TBR Start Number: 609
Number of Books Kept: 5 Books
Number of Books Gotten Rid of: 5 Books
Current Number on TBR: 604

Have you guys read any of these books? I would love to hear your thoughts if you had.
