June Movie Wrap-up

Well I am sad to say June was a sad month for movies. I barely watched any movies this month which is such a shame. I know there were a couple I really wanted to see. I was suppose to go see Incredible 2 but there is a whole story behind that which I don’t want to get into. I do hope to see that this month though. So let’s dive into the movies I saw!

Jumanji Welcome to the JungleJumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Directed By Jake Kassdan

Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Runtime: 119 mins
Released: December 20th 2017
Rating: PG-13

Plot: In a brand new Jumanji adventure, four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves – or they’ll be stuck in the game forever, to be played by others without break.

My Thoughts: Well this movie wasn’t originally on my radar of movies I really want to watch. I decided to pick it up because I kept hearing how good it was. Honestly I didn’t really enjoy this. I thought it was alright. The only character I really liked was who Jack Black was playing. I didn’t really care for anyone else. I found myself not really paying attention at times. I won’t be seeing the second one.

Ocean's 8Ocean’s Eight Directed By Gary Ross

Genre: Action, Comedy, Crime, Thriller
Runtime: 110 mins
Released: June 8th 2018
Rating: PG-13

Plot: Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect all-female crew: Lou, Rose, Daphne Kluger, Nine Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance.

My Thoughts: I have been seeing previews for this for months, especially when I had moviepass and was going to the movies a lot. I haven’t seen the other movies but I thought I’d check it out. I overall enjoyed it. I did feel it was still a little long but it wasn’t a bad movie. It was enjoyable and I had some laughs.

What movies did you guys see in June? Any movies you recommend I watch? Have you seen any of the movies I listed? I would love to hear your thoughts!
