Blogmas Day 16: My Favorite Christmas Movies

Hey guys! So I decided since Christmas is little over a week away, I would post about some of my favorite Christmas movies. I always love watching Christmas movies. Usually on Christmas Eve Eve is the day I watch Christmas movies. A couple of these are ones I try to watch every year. Also it was hard to pick because there are so many good Christmas movies out there. So let’s dive in to see what of my favorite Christmas movies are.

Elf1. Elf

I am a huge Will Ferrell fan. He’s made so many great comedies. So it’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite Christmas movies. I haven’t watch Elf in a while so I feel like I’m due for a re-watch. I hope I can get to it this holiday season.

It's A Very Sunny Christmas2. A Very Sunny Christmas

So this isn’t technically a movie but I feel at one point they sold it separately so I still wanted to count it. This episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one I watch every year. Every time I watch this I always hope the ending will magically change but it never happens.

Miracle on 34th Street3. Miracle on 34th Street

This is a movie I always like watching with my Dad. He is a big fan of this movie. I know there are a couple versions of this movie. I am a big fan of the 1947 version. I feel it is such a classic Christmas movie.

Krampus4. Krampus

So Krampus is a new to me Christmas movie. The first time I watched Krampus was last year with my boyfriend. We ended up enjoying it a lot. I know it’s more on the creepier side but it was an enjoyable watch. After we watched it we talked about having it be something we watch each year. We haven’t watched it yet this year but hopefully closer to Christmas.

Bad Santa5. Bad Santa

So like I said before comedies are my favorite genre for movies. So of course Bad Santa also had to be on this list. I think it’s such a fun Christmas movie. I feel I haven’t seen it as much as some of these other ones so it’s still a bit fresh when I watch. Plus it always gets a good amount of laughs from me.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas6. Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

This is a Christmas movie I’ve really like as a kid. There are so many versions of this as well. I know a new animated movie came out this year. I haven’t seen that yet. I am also a fan of the classic animated movie. This one will always be my favorite.

Love Actually7. Love Actually

Okay this is one of the cutest Christmas movies ever. I love a good romance movie. This one brings out all the feels. Plus I just love that it tells the story of all these different people. It’s just so cute. I haven’t watched it in a couple of years but it’s a goodie. I needed to put this on the list.

Frosty the Snowman8. Frosty The Snowman

This is another movie that is a favorite from my childhood. I use to have this on VHS. I remember putting it in and sitting at home watching it. It’s been so long since I’ve watched this movie. This is something I need a refresh of. I do think it would be awesome if Frosty was real.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer9. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

So just like my Favorite Christmas Music, I felt I had to include Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. This was another movie I loved as a kid. I also had the VHS of this. So I would always watch this during Christmas. I just love seeing Rudolph’s story. I am also a big fan of all the characters you meet in this movie. I love rooting for Rudolph each time. His story never disappoints.

The Santa Clause10. The Santa Clause

So this movie is a year younger than me which is crazy to think about. I don’t think at the time I watched it I realized Santa died visiting his house. It might have said that in the movie but I probably didn’t really understand. I do think it’s awesome how this kid’s Dad automatically becomes Santa. That is just so wild. I would be telling everyone honestly. This is just a movie I’ve always enjoyed. I know there are sequels but I don’t remember those as much as this one.

This was such a hard list to make. There are so many good Christmas movies out there. There were some I wanted to mention but I wanted to pick movies I feel hold a special place in my heart. Plus some of these are movies I plan to watch every year. There are still a lot of Christmas movies I need to watch so this list can really change next year.
