A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read
Outlander By Diana Gabaldon
I got into Outlander the tv show a couple of years ago. I thought it was something my Mom would like. So we ended up watching season one together. I’m currently 2 seasons behind and really need to catch up. I’ve been told before I really need to read the book. I just feel I won’t enjoy the books as much. I will try the book eventually.
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up
Everything I Never Told You By Celeste Ng
I’ve this book on my TBR for quite some time. I finally decided to ask for it for Christmas. So I do own a physical copy of it. I am surprised, I haven’t picked it up sooner. It seems like it would be a quick read. I did put it on my April TBR so hopefully I get to it then.
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet
Obsidio By Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
So I haven’t started this book yet but I have been saying I’d read it for a little while now. I do plan to finish it hopefully this month. I do want to read this with the audiobook. So that’s why I have been slacking on reading it.
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read
Emma By Jane Austen
So if you don’t know, I am a huge fan of the movie Clueless. I know Clueless is based off this book. So I’ve had it on my TBR for a while. I just haven’t read it because I’m not super into classics. I do want to check this out. I’ve never read anything by Jane Austen.
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read
The Raven Boys By Maggie Stiefvater
So this is a book I always hear people talk about. I know it’s very popular. I am not sure why but it never has really struck my interest. I mean I also don’t fully know what it’s about but from what I’ve heard about it, I haven’t had a rush to pick it up. Maybe I will one day.
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet
I guess once again I can pick Emma for this. Game of Thrones would usually be the answer I put for this but I finally read book one last year. Most of the TV shows based off books that I have watched I’ve read already.
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet
The Priory of the Orange Tree By Samantha Shannon
So I have been seeing this book everywhere since it released. It’s very popular and I have been hearing good things about it. It also is a huge book. I am not sure if I’m going to end up picking this one up. I’m not super into fantasy books. Maybe when the hype dies down. I will see.

I’ve been considering picking up Priory of the Orange Tree, but holy heck it intimidates me. Plus, also I’m not HUGE into fantasy — I’m just hoping a book will change my mind at some point, haha.

Yeah I feel the same way. I have been putting off IT because of how big it is. I mean everyone has been saying Priory is really good but they seem to be big fantasy readers. Maybe at somepoint I’ll give it a go.

I have not read Emma either, I actually got it as a free audiobook on audible a few months ago. It sounds really interesting, but I keep putting it off. Also, Outlander By Diana Gabaldon was really interesting read, I read the first 4 books in the series, maybe 5? I lost count lol.

I’m always unsure with classics but I’m so in love with Clueless I thought I should give it a try. Oh nice that’s awesome you got it for free! Yeah I want to give Outlander a try. I am not sure I’ll enjoy the book but worth trying at some point.

Always worth a try, you can always put it down if you aren’t enjoying.

It took me forever to get to Obsidio and almost 2 months to read it because I just didn’t want it to end. Such a good series.
I own Priory but don’t see myself reading that thicc book anytime soon despite loving the excerpt I read. Big books just daunt me.

I was planning to read Obsidio this month but I didn’t get the chance. I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it in April but deff planning it to be the first book I pick up in May.
Yeah big books daunt me too. I wanna read IT so bad but like it’s probably one of the biggest books I will have attempted to read and that scares me.
