Books I’d Like to Read By The End of The Year

Hey guys!! So today I would like like to share with you books I’d like to read by the end of the year. I was thinking of including books that haven’t been released but I decided against that. These are mainly books I own that I’ve been wanting to read and just haven’t picked up yet. Only one of these books I don’t own. A lot of these are books I’ve been saying I’ll read but haven’t. Plus I was thinking to myself maybe making this post will help give me the push I need to read these. So let’s dive in and see what those books are!

1. The Outsider By Stephen King 

Well this is the book that really inspired me to make this post. I recently saw that the trailer was out for this book. I haven’t watched it yet since I want to read this book without really knowing anything. I do know one of the characters from the Mr. Mercedes book series is in it and I can’t wait for that. I thankfully have some time before this show comes out but I’d like to be able to watch it right away. So I’m hoping to get to this soon. Maybe even this month after spookathon.

2. Capturing the Devil By Kerri Maniscalco

So I’m a big fan of The Jack the Ripper series. I have been anxiously awaiting for the end to come. Even though I am extremely sad to see this one go I can’t wait to see what happens. I did just get a part of these book spoiled. Then I found out they were promoting this spoiler before the book even came out so I guess not really a spoiler. This is something I would have rather wait to find out on my own. I did originally think this concept would be for book three but am excited to see it executed for the last book. I can’t wait to find out what happens.

3. Obsidio By Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Well this is a book that has been haunting me this year. I have put it on my TBR multiple but haven’t picked it up yet. I am really not sure what the reasoning is. I really enjoy listening to these on audio. It’s such a fun experience. So I am not sure what the delay is. I would like to finish this one so I can move on and start the Aurora Rising series that these authors came out with this year. It seems to be similar vibes to this series.

4. Mrs. Fletcher By Tom Perrotta

So this book really wasn’t on my radar which I’m a bit surprised since I’ve loved Tom Perrotta’s books in the past. I really love his writing. I did see that they were turning this one into a show which isn’t a surprise since his other books have been turned into movies and television shows. So the trailer for the show ended up peaking my interest. This show does start next week. I currently don’t own the book but would like to get to it maybe next month and then check out the show.

5. Renegades By Marissa Meyer

I read the Cinder series by Marissa Meyer about two years ago and was very into it. Then I heard she was coming out with this superhero series which sounded really cool. Then I would hear Emma @ Emmmabooks going on about how much she loved it so I was sold. I ended up meeting Marissa Meyer last year at BookCon and got this book signed. Fast forward to today I still have not read it but I also own the second book in the series. So now book three is almost out and I still haven’t read any of the books. So I really would like to read this and see if this is a series I’d like to continue with.

6. Mr. Kiss and Tell By Rob Thomas & Jennifer Graham

I am a big Veronica Mars fan. I had read book one in the past. After reading book one I knew I had to pick up book two. I never ended up reading book two. Then they rebooted Veronica Mars this year and I decided to pick up book one again. I picked it up on audio. When I saw that Kristen Bell only narrated the one book and not the second book I was so bummed. So I decided to pick off reading book two. Well I’m getting to the point where I want to re-watch the show to watch the new episodes put out. So I feel I just need to suck it up and read this book.
