Currently Reading
The Girl from the Well By Rin Chupeco
So I originally heard about this from Riley @ Riley Marie. It sounded right up my alley because it’s compared with Japanese horror films like the ring and the grunge. Then I saw that the Dragons & Tea Book Club was starting to read this for their October read so I had to pick it up. I only read two chapters so far so don’t know how I feel yet. I am behind on the reading so after work I plan to catch up. I hope I like it.
The Monster of Elendhaven By Jennifer Giesbrecht
So this is another book I found out about from Riley. I picked it up right away because it was one of the few books available on Scribd for me. Also it’s a very short read so I thought I could finish it pretty quickly. So far I’m enjoying it right now. I like both of the characters. I am interested to find out more about them. I also really love the cover of this book.
Recently Finished
All the Beautiful Lies By Peter Swanson
This book is just a straight up no from me. I really did not like it at all. The more I think about it the more I just want to give this book one star. I sadly might just do that. I have a review of this book coming out tomorrow where you can find out the main reason why I didn’t like this book.
Reading Next
The Visible Filth By Nathan Ballingrud
I recently found out that this story was turned into a movie. Then I found out the movie is on Hulu. This is something I want to read before watching the movie. I have been really excited about this because I know the movie takes place in New Orleans. I am not sure about the story but really hope it does. This will be another quick read because it’s only 80 pages.
What are some books you read, finished, and plan on reading soon? Any of the books above? I would love to hear from you guys in the comments below!

I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Visible Filth! I haven’t read it yet but Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters collection is one of my all time faves.

I was hoping to get to The Visible Filth then I kinda forgot I wanted to pick it up. I know they made it into a movie and that was my drive for watching it. I don’t think it’s even that long so it should be a quick read. Oh wow that is so good to hear! I will have to look into reading that once I pick up The Visible Filth.

I started The Girl in the Well but then I stopped. So I kinda put it off but I really would like to get back to it at somepoint. I might wait closer to October since it’s a spooky read.
