Hey guys!! So I was planning to do this tag again for Blogmas. I am glad I ended up waiting because I ended up being tagged by Jenna @J.K. I’m Exploring. This tag was created by Jenn @ Jenniely. If you’re not following Jenna you really need to be. She’s one of my closest friends on here. She’s so hardworking and always doing awesome posts. You really won’t be disappointed! So now let’s dive in this tag.
- Tag & link the person who tagged you
- Tag and link me/this post (if you would be so kind, I love reading your answers!)
- Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done
- Tag another 10 people!
- Received an ARC and not reviewed it ✔
Yes I have requested a couple of e-arcs from Netgalley that I haven’t reviewed. I have been in a bit of a reading slump this year so I haven’t read as much as I normally would. I do hope to read all my e-arcs next year. (I said that at the beginning of this year so let’s hope I ACTUALLY do that next year)
- Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley
I actually have 84% on Netgalley. To be fair I haven’t really requested many books on Netgalley this year. I do have one book I need to review on there so my feedback rating should go up a little after that.
- Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did) ✔
Yeah I did do that a couple of times this year. I would like to change that next year.
- Folded down the page of a book✔
I did do that with a couple of library books this year.
- Accidentally spilled on a book✔
I feel like I remember spilling something on a book this year. I’m so clumsy so it’s bound to happen.
- DNF a book this year✔
Yes I did. If I can’t get into a book and I don’t want to read it. I’m just going to stop reading it. I don’t like doing that but rather not keep reading something I’m not liking.
- Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it
So this year I haven’t been buying books as much as I normally do. I barely have any space on my shelves. So I’ve only really bought books I really wanted to read.
- Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)✔
Oh yeah I’m sure there were a good amount of times I should have been cleaning or something but instead I picked up a book to get out of it.
- Skim read a book✔
Yeah I’ve done that a couple times. I feel I’d end up doing that with books I don’t really like but made it decently far that I don’t want to DNF it.
- Completely missed your Goodreads goal
This year I set my goal to only 50 books. I am happy I ended up doing that because I had a pretty slumpy year. So I actually did end up meeting my goal.
- Borrowed a book and not returned it
I still have one book out from the library but I keep renewing it so I don’t have to return it just yet.
- Broke a book buying ban
I put myself on a don’t buy too many books this year ban and it worked out pretty well. I really haven’t bought too many books. So I’m happy to say I didn’t break this.
- Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about✔
Yeah I would say there have been times I wanted to start a book review then I’m just like well what happened in this book. So then I don’t really remember and decide against the review. So I’m going to count that for this one.
- Wrote in a book you were reading
No. I haven’t written in any of the books I ended up reading this year.
- Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads
No I always make sure to add it to my goodreads because I want to make sure it counts. I also just like knowing what books I’ve read.
- Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend
This year I really haven’t really borrowed any books from any of my friends.
- Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book
No. I feel if someone wants to borrow a book I’ll let them.
- Broke the spine of someone else’s book
Damn I’m trying to think. I mean I haven’t really borrowed anyone’s books this year. I can possibly see that happening with a library book. I also don’t really remember taking many paperbacks from the library this year. So for now I’m just going to say no.
- Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged
No. I don’t really take the jackets off books. I did that maybe once this year but I rather just keep the jacket on.
- Sat on a book accidentally
No I don’t remember sitting on any books this year.
Score: 8/20
So last year when I did this, I answered the questions as overall in my life. I didn’t answer it for just the year. So this year I did it for only 2019. Last year I had 15/20. So it’s nice to see it go down this year. I want to try to do better next year so we shall see how that ends up going.

How can you read with the jacket on???? It’s so annoying! It’s part of the reason I don’t like library books as much…

I like reading witht the jacket on because when I’m finished reading I can easily use it to hold the page.
