Blogmas Day 16: November Movie Wrap-Up

Hey guys! It’s time for another movie wrap-up. I didn’t watch too many movies this but but I did get a start on watching some Christmas movies. Surprisingly I haven’t watched any Christmas movies yet this month. I do plan to change that when I start wrapping gifts today, so I’m very excited for that. So let’s dive in a see what movies I ended up watching in November.

ZodiacZodiac Directed By David Fincher

Genre: Crime, Drama, Mystery, Thriller
Runtime: 157 mins
Released: March 2nd 2002
Rating: R

Plot: In the late 1960s/early 1970s, a San Francisco cartoonist becomes an amateur detective obsessed with tracking down the Zodiac Killer, an unidentified individual who terrorizes Northern California with a killing spree.

My Thoughts: So this movie had been on my list for a while. I recently watched a youtube video where this was on the guy’s best movies of 2002 list. So when I saw it on the airplane I decided I’d watch it. It probably wasn’t the best movie to watch early in the morning but I really enjoyed it. This movie doesn’t really focus on the murder aspect of the Zodiac killer, it focuses on the solving aspect of it. I found it really interesting. It’s wild how obsessed this man became and how determined he was to find out who the killer was. Plus it’s filled with a great cast. There’s Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr., and Mark Ruffalo. I highly recommend.

Let It SnowLet It Snow Directed By Luke Snellin

Genre: Comedy, Romance
Runtime: 92 mins
Released: November 8th 2019
Rating: PG-13

Plot: In a small town on Christmas Eve, a snowstorm brings together a group of young people.

My Thoughts: So on booktwitter, I had heard a lot of people talking about this. It is based off the book, Let it Snow By John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myrhcle. I never read the book but it seemed like a cute Christmas movie. Overall I thought this was a fun Christmas movie. I didn’t love it like I thought I would but it was enjoyable. I liked more stories than others. I did like how the stories ended up connecting at the end. I always enjoy that.

The Christmas ChroniclesThe Christmas Chronicles Directed By Clay Kaytis

Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Family, Fantasy
Runtime: 104 mins
Released: November 22nd 2018
Rating: TV-PG

Plot: The story of sister and brother, Kate and Teddy Pierce, whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about.

My Thoughts: So my boyfriend and I put this on when we were decorating our Christmas tree. I sadly missed some parts of it but overall I really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect cheesy Christmas movie that I needed. I think Kurt Russell did a fantastic job playing Santa. It just a fun movie. I really highly recommend you guys checking it out if you haven’t. I was bummed I waited so long to end up watching it.

What movies did you guys see in November? Any movies you recommend I watch? Have you seen any of the movies I listed? I would love to hear your thoughts!
