Release Date: August 4th 2020

Plot: If you loved American Horror Story 1984, you’ll die for this paperback original thriller mashup of Agatha Christie’s The A.B.C. Murders and Riverdale in which a game turns deadly with a killer who picks his victims one by one, letter by letter.
Every year the senior class at Lincoln High plays assassin. Lia Prince has been planning her strategy for years and she’s psyched that not only does she finally get to play, she’s on a team with Devon Diaz. But this year, the game isn’t any fun–it’s real. Abby Ascher, Ben Barnard, and Cassidy Clarke have all turned up . . . dead. Can Lia stop the ABC killer before he reaches D?
Why I Need This Book: So the moment I heard about this book it just seemed really interesting. It’s supposed to be similar to Agatha Christie’s A.B.C. Murders. I ended up reading that recently and enjoyed it. It just seems like it’s going to be a fun mystery book that is fast paced. I’m always looking to find new mysteries so I can’t wait to check this out!
Bookish and The Beast By Ashley Poston
Genre: Contemporary, Young Adult, Romance, Retelling, Fiction
Pages: 288 pages
Release Date: August 4th 2020
Publisher: Quirk Books
Plot: In the third book in Ashley Poston’s Once Upon a Con series, Beauty and the Beast is retold in the beloved Starfield universe.
Rosie Thorne is feeling stuck—on her college application essays, in her small town, and on that mysterious General Sond cosplayer she met at ExcelsiCon. Most of all, she’s stuck in her grief over her mother’s death. Her only solace was her late mother’s library of rare Starfield novels, but even that disappeared when they sold it to pay off hospital bills.
On the other hand, Vance Reigns has been Hollywood royalty for as long as he can remember—with all the privilege and scrutiny that entails. When a tabloid scandal catches up to him, he’s forced to hide out somewhere the paparazzi would never expect to find him: Small Town USA. At least there’s a library in the house. Too bad he doesn’t read.
When Rosie and Vance’s paths collide and a rare book is accidentally destroyed, Rosie finds herself working to repay the debt. And while most Starfield superfans would jump at the chance to work in close proximity to the Vance Reigns, Rosie has discovered something about Vance: he’s a jerk, and she can’t stand him. The feeling is mutual.
But as Vance and Rosie begrudgingly get to know each other, their careful masks come off—and they may just find that there’s more risk in shutting each other out than in opening their hearts.
Why I Need This Book: I recently discovered the Once Upon A Con series right before quarantine hit. I ended up really enjoying it. I did pick up the second one and not like it as much. I do think I need to read it because I wasn’t as focused during that time. I am really excited for the next book in the series. I can’t wait to meet some new characters while hopefully running into so old ones. I do hope my library gets a copy of this.
Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!

Yeah it was a really adorable story. I do feel it could have been a standalone. Book 2 wasn’t bad though. I feel I need to reread because I wasn’t super focused on it.
