Hey guys! It is time for me to do my Movie Wrap-up for November. I honestly can’t believe I watched some of these in November. I swear each month ends up feeling a life time ago. I did end up watching some rewatchs which was one. I also started watching some Christmas movies early. I mean honestly with this year it’s never to early. I also feel just in general it’s never too early. You can watch Christmas movies whenever! Do what makes you happy. I can’t wait to share my thoughts cause some weren’t favorites. So let’s dive in to see what I watched!

Stepbrothers Directed By Adam McKay
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 98 mins
Released: July 25th 2008
Rating: R
Plot: Two aimless middle-aged losers still living at home are forced against their will to become roommates when their parents marry.
My Thoughts: Stepbrothers was one of my rewatch movies. I love this movie so much. It is probably my favorite comedy. It’s just such a ridiculous movie but it’s so funny. We ended up watching this with my parents because they never saw it. They seemed to really enjoy. I also just miss old comedies because you could get away with so much more. If you haven’t seen this movie, you really need to. I don’t think you’ll stop laughing.

The Evil Dead Directed By Sam Raimi
Genre: Horror
Runtime: 98 mins
Released: April 15th 1983
Rating: NC-17
Plot: Two aimless middle-aged losers still living at home are forced against their will to become roommates when their parents marry.
My Thoughts: I’ve heard of these movies for so long. I’ve never watched them. I know the movies are scattered around on different platforms. I figured it was time to watch. I overall enjoyed this one. It’s very cheesy. I thought the characters in this movie weren’t good people. The one guys sister got attacked by a tree and nobody cared. Like damn guys, rude much. I do want to continue on with the series though. I think it would be a lot of fun.

They Came Together Directed By David Wain
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Runtime: 83 mins
Released: September 5th 2014
Rating: R
Plot: Molly owns a quaint little sweet shop. Joel works for a gigantic candy company threatening to shut her down. How they meet, fall in love, break up and get back together is hilariously recounted in this rom-com spoof.
My Thoughts: This was another rewatch for me. I remember watching it a while back and I enjoyed it. It’s a pretty silly comedy. It makes fun of romantic comedies. So it doesn’t take itself seriously. Plus Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler are the leads in this. I love them both so much. I just wanted a good laugh at the time.

Best In Show Directed By Christopher Guest
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 90 mins
Released: October 20th 2000
Rating: PG-13
Plot: A “behind the scenes” look into the highly competitive and cut-throat world of dog-shows through the eyes of a group of ruthless dog owners.
My Thoughts: So this also ended up being another rewatch for me. I haven’t seen this movie in so long. So I really enjoy this movie. However due to certain things I was distracted and wasn’t fully paying attention. So this ended up taking away from my movie watching experience. I was bummed cause I was really looking forward to watching it. Overall still funny. I do want to watch more from this director.

The Princess Switch: Switched Again Directed By Mike Rohl
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Family, Romance
Runtime: 96 mins
Released: November 19th 2020
Rating: TV-G
Plot: When Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and hits a rough patch with Kevin, it’s up to her double Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike, party girl Fiona foils their plans.
My Thoughts: I ended up watching this the day it came out. I had really enjoyed the first movie. Sure the trailer for this looked ridiculous but I still wanted to check this out. I just felt it took way too much time to step up the story. So when it came to introduce the third lookalike it was halfway through the movie. I don’t want to spoil anything but it was really pointless having the third girl. It was a mess.

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding Directed By John Schultz
Genre: Drama, Romance
Runtime: 92 mins
Released: November 30th 2018
Rating: TV-G
Plot: A year after helping Richard get to the throne, Amber is about to become his wife. But is she really made to be queen?
My Thoughts: I honestly don’t remember this movie at all. I watched this not to long ago and only remember bits and pieces. I probably will finish the series just because but this didn’t stand out to me.

ParaNorman Directed By Chris Butler, Sam Fell
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy, Family, Fantasy, Mystery
Runtime: 92 mins
Released: August 17th 2012
Rating: PG
Plot: A misunderstood boy takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.
My Thoughts: I actually ended up enjoying this movie a lot more than I thought I would. I love Norman so much. He was so misunderstood. People were so mean to him it wasn’t fair. Also this movie had some bit of adult jokes. Sneaky sneaky. Overall I really enjoyed this and really ended up liking majority of the main characters. I would watch this again.

Hometown Holiday Directed By Justin G. Dyck
Genre: Romance
Runtime: 84 mins
Released: November 9th 2018
Rating: TV-PG
Plot: Krista is starting this New Year with a new business and a resolution to be more selective with who she dates. When Krista meets Ryan Rourke, an entertainment lawyer from LA, the two really hit it off. Ryan is in her hometown to sign a local rancher turned viral signing sensation as his new client. Now with Krista also in Rust Creek, maybe there is more of a reason to stick around. Both are holding onto things from their past and are forced to make some decisions if they truly want to be together.
My Thoughts: This movie was a mess. I was so bored the entire. My boyfriend and I watched this hoping it would be bad that we’d just be laughing the whole time. It was bad but not in a funny way. I also felt like the two sisters had more chemistry than they did with the guys. I would not recommend this.
These are all the movies I watched in November. Overall I enjoyed my rewatches more than the new movies I watched. I did end up enjoying ParaNorman which I never saw. So that’s at least one new movie I watch that I really enjoyed. I can’t wait to see what I watch in December.
What movies did you guys end up watching in November? Anything new that you ended up enjoying?

I’ve never heard of They Came Together, but now I need to watch it!!
