2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

The Toll (Arc of a Scythe) By Neal Shusterman

I bought this book last year in hopes of actually reading it. I really wanted to know how things ended. I ended up not hearing great things about it. I did a buddy reread with the lovely Bex. I finally will be finishing one of my favorite series. I am a bit behind on this one. I should have finished it on Friday. I have been struggling a bit with buddy reads. So do apologize to my buddy read friends. I am nervous about this but also dying to know what’s going to happen.

Blackout: How Black America Can Make Its Second Escape from Democrat Plantation By Candace Owens

I am a bit wary about posting this book. I don’t like to talk politics because I don’t know a lot about that. I do have my opinions on some things but I like to keep them to myself. I do know a lot of people don’t like Candace Owens. I just was interested in learning her side and what she has to say. Anyway, this also was a buddy read with a friend. I knew this would take me time to read. I didn’t realize this long. I feel when it comes to nonfiction books it takes me longer to read. I think I haven’t picked this up because I haven’t wanted to be super political. It stresses me out. I do plan to continue with it more once I finish The Toll.

Recently Finished

Archenemies (Renegades #2) By Marissa Meyer

I have been slacking on reading this month. I have barley read anything. If I do it has taken me a bit of time to get through it. Anyways I finally have been tackling the Renegades series. Wow this book was a wild ride. I was happy to see some assumptions I made turn out to be true. I feel so much happened in this book. It was so exciting to read about. Also had some nice surprises which is nice to see. I have no idea what is going to happen in the third book. I really can’t wait to pick it up next week and see what the big finale is.

Reading Next

We Are the Wildcats By Siobhan Vivian

So this was one of the books that were free for 25 Reads in December. If you don’t know what that is, you can read my post HERE, that gives you more details. I read the first chapter and really liked it. I basically read a couple like two chapters of this book. Once I finish The Toll I plan to pick this back up. I probably will start from the beginning. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it but the first chapter drew me in. I haven’t really found anything out about what has happened with the coach. I am very curious to see. I do have some ideas but can’t wait to get more into it.

The Cemetery Boys By Aiden Thomas

I really don’t know anything about this book. I have heard a lot of praise of this from the bookish community. My friends wanted to start doing a traveling book thing. So we pick a book and we’ll actually write in the book. So we will put our thoughts throughout the book. Then when we finish we send it off to the next person. Well it is my turn to read this and send it off to Jenna. As I said before I have been slacking hard. I have been finding it hard to focus on reading. I would like to send this to Jenna soon though. So plan to read it after The Toll. I am just in a weird slump right now.

I know I have been posting Try A Chapter on Wednesdays. I just thought I would update you guys what I have been reading, finished and plan to read. I will be posting the third try a chapter tomorrow. I can’t wait to share that with you guys as well.

What are some books you read, finished, and plan on reading soon? Any of the books above? I would love to hear from you guys in the comments below!
