Hey guys! I am finally doing my last Try A Chapter post that I started during Blogmas. Yes, I am 100% a mess. This has been long overdue and I have been slacking. I ended up not doing my last post for Blogmas. Then I decided to take a break in January. I’m trying to get back into things. Slowly but surely. Thankfully I’ve been reading and I feel at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. So let’s dive in to see what chapters I read.
Day 22

I ended up just reading the prologue for this book. I have to say it was an interesting way to start the book off. I am very curious to find out what’s going to happen. I probably will probably wait a little while to pick this up. I just read another Lisa Unger book I wasn’t a big fan of. I have other books I want to read but will eventually pick this up in the future.

Day 23

This won goodreads best thriller for 2020. I ended up reading her other book last year. I wasn’t a huge fan of that book. I have been hearing mixed things about this. I thought the first chapter was alright. I wasn’t super into it. I don’t think I will be picking it up.

Day 24

The Boy From the Woods By Harlan Coben
I have always wanted to read a Harlan Coben book. I have heard really good things about them. So I was so excited when Luna bought this for me for Christmas. Thanks again Luna! Anyway, I read the article and the first chapter. I really enjoyed it! The writing is really well done and had me hooked. I will most likely be aiming to add this to my April TBR. I heard good things about it. I’m very excited for it!

Day 25

Restoration Heights By Will Medearis
I ended up picking this book up at Book Con about 3 years ago. I don’t remember how. I honestly don’t know much about this book. It takes place in New York. I wasn’t super drawn in to the first chapter. Overall this book has good reviews. I think I might try picking it up at some point in the future. I want to give it a chance.

Day 26

The Girl I Use to Be By Mary Torjussen
I believe I won this book in a giveaway a couple years back. The first chapter took place at a party. It had my type of vibes. I feel it switches been different time lines which I always like. I don’t really have much more to say because I’m blanking on this chapter. I do want to keep it though.

Day 27

I had this as books I wanted to read during the 25 Reads of December. I decided to pick it up after since I could. I only ended up reading the prologue. It grabbed my attention right away. It does start off with a tragedy but I need to know more. I really need to pick this book up. I have heard such great things about it. Plus there is going to be a sequel so hopefully I read it before that comes out.

Day 28

Every Other Weekend By Abigail Johnson
I forgot I ended up reading this for try a chapter. I ended up just getting the audiobook recently. I do plan on reading it during March. I did enjoy the first chapter a lot. I ended up finding it a lot of fun. So that makes me really excited about picking it up. I think I might make it my first book of March.

Day 29

Okay so call me super intrigued by the first chapter of this book. I mean a man buys a book online?!?! What?!?! That really was such a great chapter. I’ve had this book on my TBR for a while. A part of me wants to read this during spooky season. Another part of me wants to pick it up sooner. I will just have to wait and see.

Day 30

Sleeping Giants By Sylvain Neuvel
I have been wanting to read this for a while. I decided to check it out. I checked out two parts of the book. I have no clue what exactly is going on. I do know that the audiobook is supposed to be really good. So I do know whenever I decide to pick this up it will be on audio.

Day 31

The Silent Corner By Dean Koontz
This is the oldest book from Netgalley that I have to read and review. I’ve been trying to be better about reading my e-arcs. I keep putting off the old ones. So I’m trying to fit them in my TBR when I’m able to. The first chapter for this book was really short. I’m not really sure what I think about it. Nothing really happened. I do plan to have this on my March TBR. So I’m very interested to see what this book is going to be able.
Woo Hoo! I finally finished doing my Try A Chapter that I started in December. I had a lot of fun doing this even though it took me forever to finish. I did slack off a bit and had to read multiple chapters in a day. I did aim to read the chapter for books I own. I did find a lot of books I enjoyed. I really can’t wait to add some of these to my TBR. I also found some books I wasn’t a huge fan of. I definitely plan to do this again. I probably won’t end up doing it for the whole month like this. I can see myself doing it for a week.
What are some books that ended up drawing you in right away?
