Hey guys! It is time for my November Movie Wrap-up. It’s been so long since I’ve done a movie wrap-up. I am bummed that I didn’t end up watching any Christmas movies yet. I do plan on watching some in December. I have been planning to watch some cheesy Christmas movies. I am excited for the newest Princess Switched movie on Netflix. I have been talking about it since I found out the date it was going to be released. That should be fun. Anyway, let’s dive in and see what I watched in November.

A Mighty Wind Directed Christopher Guest
Genre: Comedy, Music
Runtime: 1 hr 31ms
Released: May 9th 2003
Rating: PG-13
Plot: Mockumentary captures the reunion of 1960s folk trio the Folksmen as they prepare for a show at The Town Hall to memorialize a recently deceased concert promoter.
My Thoughts: I’ve been trying to watch every movie directed by Christopher Guest. I think they’re so entertaining. I love that for a lot of his mockumentary films he uses the same cast. I find all these people hilarious. I thought this was such a fun movie. Even though I’m not really into folk music, I thought all the songs were good. I still think Best in Show is my favorite movie by Christopher Guest.

V for Vendetta Directed By James McTeigue
Genre: Action, Drama, Sci-fi, Thriller
Runtime: 2 hr 12m
Released: March 17 2006
Rating: R
Plot: In a future British tyranny, a shadowy freedom fighter, known only by the alias of “V,” plots to overthrow it with the help of a young woman.
My Thoughts: This wasn’t my first time watching V for Vendetta. I’ve watched it several times before. Sadly I did not watch it on November 5th. I believe it was one day after. Still pretty close. I have to say I really enjoy this movie. The acting is incredible especially Hugo Weaving who wears a mask the entire movie. There is just so much emotion portrayed by him. It really is such an incredible movie with such a strong message behind it. I definitely recommend this one.

Run Directed By Aneesh Chaganty
Genre: Mystery, Thriller
Runtime: 1hr 30m
Released: November 20th 2020
Rating: PG-13
Plot: A homeschooled teenager begins to suspect her mother is keeping a dark secret from her..
My Thoughts: I have had this on my to watch list for a while. I was randomly looking up movies to watch and say that Anessh Chaganty made Searching. I thought Searching was such a good movie. It was so creative. So that pushed Run up my to watch list plus it’s not long. I have to say I did find this a bit predictable but thought the acting was really well done. The two main characters did an amazing job. There is a lot of intense scenes in this movie and I could really feel the emotion from these characters. Plus I felt there was never a dull scene. It was really enjoyable.

Awakenings Directed By Penny Marshall
Genre: Biography, Drama
Runtime: 2 hr 1 m
Released: January 11th 1991
Rating: PG-13
Plot: The victims of an encephalitis epidemic many years ago have been catatonic ever since, but now a new drug offers the prospect of reviving them.
My Thoughts: My boyfriend randomly picked this movie out on Netflix. I had no idea what to except but I ended up really enjoying it. It’s based off a real story which was just so crazy to me. I loved seeing how dedicated Robin Williams character was dedicated to these patients. He wanted to do whatever he could to help them and get their lives back. It’s a very emotional movie and done very well. This is another movie I highly recommend.

Charlie’s Angel’s Directed By Elizabeth Banks
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
Runtime: 1hr 58m
Released: November 15th 2019
Rating: PG-13
Plot: When a young systems engineer blows the whistle on a dangerous technology, Charlie’s Angels are called into action, putting their lives on the line to protect us all.
My Thoughts: This movie was bad. I’m not sure what I was expecting with this one. My boyfriend had me get it from the library. We were hoping it would be bad in an enjoyable way. However that just wasn’t the case. Kirsten Stewart’s character was supposed to be the one making all the jokes. I found her extremely annoying and wished she would stop talking. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this one.
Well that is my November movie wrap-up. I have to say my favorite movies that I watched this month were Run and Awakenings. They were both very enjoyable films. I will be checking out more from both directors. Penny Lane directed A League of Their Own which I have never seen. So that is on my list of movies I need to get to. I’m glad November ended up being a good movie month for me.
What movies did you guys end up watching in November? Anything you really liked?
