Hey guys! I am slowly getting my groove back with my blog. I have been trying to post more recently. Things were a bit busy at the beginning of the month but they have finally slowed down. Sadly in January I ended up not watching that many movies. I did watch a good amount this month. I am hoping to squeeze a couple more movies before the month ends. You will see that list at the beginning of March. Anyway, let’s dive in to the films I watched in January. Continue reading “January Movie Wrap-up”

April Wrap-up
Hey guys! I hope you all ended up having a great April. I read a good amount this month. I was trying to squeeze another book in the end of April but didn’t get to do much reading. I decided for May I’m going to try to stay away from thrillers so I’m excited to see how that goes. Now let’s see what I read in April. Continue reading “April Wrap-up”
Book Review: Bird Box By Josh Malerman
Bird Box By Josh Malerman
Genre: Horror, Fiction, Thriller, Mystery, Post Apocalyptic
Pages: 262 pages
Published: March 1st 2014
Publisher: Ecco
My Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Plot: Something is out there . . .
Something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from.
Five years after it began, a handful of scattered survivors remain, including Malorie and her two young children. Living in an abandoned house near the river, she has dreamed of fleeing to a place where they might be safe. Now, that the boy and girl are four, it is time to go. But the journey ahead will be terrifying: twenty miles downriver in a rowboat—blindfolded—with nothing to rely on but her wits and the children’s trained ears. One wrong choice and they will die. And something is following them. But is it man, animal, or monster?
Engulfed in darkness, surrounded by sounds both familiar and frightening, Malorie embarks on a harrowing odyssey—a trip that takes her into an unseen world and back into the past, to the companions who once saved her. Under the guidance of the stalwart Tom, a motely group of strangers banded together against the unseen terror, creating order from the chaos. But when supplies ran low, they were forced to venture outside—and confront the ultimate question: in a world gone mad, who can really be trusted?
Interweaving past and present, Josh Malerman’s breathtaking debut is a horrific and gripping snapshot of a world unraveled that will have you racing to the final page.

Down The TBR Hole #23
Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! A couple of these I remember adding and some of them I’m not super familiar with. I’m excited to refresh my memory. So let’s dive in!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR. Continue reading “Down The TBR Hole #23”
