Plus I was thinking to myself maybe making this post will help give me the push I need to read these. So let’s dive in and see what those books are! My September TBR

Hey guys! So I know I’m a bit late with this TBR. I have to say I have been slacking on reading the last two months. I don’t know what it is but I haven’t been in much of a mood to read as of late. Even though that is the case I still have a couple of books I would like to get to this month. I hope that I can. I am am excited to say I reached my goal of reading 50 books. I am so happy that I set my goal to 50 this year. It’s been extremely busy and very draining. I haven’t been wanting to read as much so I’m glad I didn’t push myself to try to read 100 this year. I mean maybe I will but right now I’m not putting the pressure on myself. So let’s dive in to want I hope to read in September. Continue reading “My September TBR”

Waiting on Wednesday: Capturing the Devil By Kerri Maniscalco

Capturing the DevilCapturing the Devil By Kerri Maniscalco

Genre: Historical Fiction, Young Adult, and Mystery
Pages: 448 pages
Release Date: September 10th 2019
Publisher: JIMMY Patterson

Plot: In the shocking finale to the bestselling series that began with Stalking Jack the Ripper, Audrey Rose and Thomas are on the hunt for the depraved, elusive killer known as the White City Devil. A deadly game of cat-and-mouse has them fighting to stay one step ahead of the brilliant serial killer—or see their fateful romance cut short by unspeakable tragedy.

Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell have landed in America, a bold, brash land unlike the genteel streets of London they knew. But like London, the city of Chicago hides its dark secrets well. When the two attend the spectacular World’s Fair, they find the once-in-a-lifetime event tainted with reports of missing people and unsolved murders.

Determined to help, Audrey Rose and Thomas begin their investigations, only to find themselves facing a serial killer unlike any they’ve heard of before. Identifying him is one thing, but capturing him—and getting dangerously lost in the infamous Murder Hotel he constructed as a terrifying torture device—is another.

Will Audrey Rose and Thomas see their last mystery to the end—together and in love—or will their fortunes finally run out when their most depraved adversary makes one final, devastating kill?

Why I Need This Book: So I am a huge fan of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. I am so sad that this is the last book but man I can’t to see what’s going to happen. I did what to reread the series before it ended up but I might try to read the last one before this one comes out. I am very interested to see what is going to happen to Audrey Rose and Thomas in this book. Plus I love the location a lot. Very excited!

Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2

Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe we are in the middle of June right now. I swear June 1st was just yesterday but we’re almost at the end and July is fast approaching. I can’t get over how quick this year is just flying by. It needs to slow down.

Anyway, I have seen this tag going around on youtube and saw some blogger friends post it as well so I thought I’d hop on board and do it. I honestly forgot that I did this last year but I’m excited to do it again! I feel 2019 has been a bit of a difficult reading year for me. I’ve read 38 books so far. I feel this has been a decent reading year. I’ve had some books really stand out and others I haven’t really enjoyed. I also just got out of a bit of a reading slump which I’m glad that’s over with. I do feel I’ve read some enjoyable reads this month so that makes me very happy. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2”
