Disappointing Books of 2017
Hey guys! I am really excited to be doing this list. I made a list of my favorite reads of 2017 which you can find here. I always really enjoy seeing the books people love and the books people disliked. Since I haven’t made a list of books I was disappointed with I thought I would before it was too late.
For this list I decided to put books I was really looking forward to reading that I finally read and dislikes. Also I decided I would include books that I only gave one star.
I am sorry if books you guys liked are on here. Some of these just did’t do it for me.
Let’s get to it! Continue reading “Disappointing Books of 2017”
My Review of 2017
Hey guys I seriously can’t believe 2017 is over. It honestly doesn’t feel like 2018 to me. Anyway I thought it would be fun to do this. I ended up doing it last year where I reviewed 2016. Overall I feel 2016 was a good read of reading. I read a lot and found a lot of amazing new authors. I also read a lot of great books. I am super excited to see what 2018 brings for me. Hopefully some great reads. Let’s begin! Continue reading “My Review of 2017”
Monthly Wrap-up
Hey guys! I hope you all are doing well. It’s time for me to post my Monthly Wrap-up. Since I didn’t post October’s Monthly Wrap-up last month, I will be including it in this post as well. I have to say October and November were good reading months for me.
In October, I took place in a readathon, Spookathon. I ended up getting in a lot of reading done that week. I was very surprised and also very happy with myself.
In November, I got a lot of reading done. In the last week alone I ended up reading about 4 books. I got really into audio books. I realized it helps me read a lot faster. I will be using audio books a lot more in the future.
Now let’s see what books I ended up reading in October and November. Continue reading “Monthly Wrap-up”
Book Review: You
You By Caroline Kepnes
Genre: Thriller, Fiction, Contemporary, Mystery, Adult, Suspense
Pages: 422pages
Published: September 25th 2014
Publisher: Atria/ Emily Bestler Books
Plot: When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.
There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.
As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.
Spookathon 2017
Hey everyone. I’m sorry for barely posting last week. I was feeling really drained so I ended up only writing one post. 😦 In the last week I decided to take part in Spookathon. Spookathon is a week long readathon that went from October 16th to October 22. It’s hosted by Lala, Paige, and Shannon. They started it last year. I am so happy I decided to participate this year! Now let’s hear how it went! Continue reading “Spookathon 2017”
Down The TBR Hole #8
Hey guys!! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! Lately I’ve been adding some new releases to my TBR list and it’s starting to go back to the number I started with. So it’s that time once again to hopefully clear some books. I hope it turns out better than last week. Last week I only got rid of 2 books. Let’s see how this goes!
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR. Continue reading “Down The TBR Hole #8”
Top Ten: Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning To Start But Haven’t
Hey Guys!! It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s themse is Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start But Haven’t. I do have to say some series do intimidate me. I do try to stick with trilogy but I am willing to try out a longer series as long as it isn’t too ridiculous in the amount of books involded. I do have a problem finishing some so I need to work on that in general. Anyway here are some that I’ve wanted to read and need to stop putting off.
The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy By Douglas Adams
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo By Steig Larsson
A Court of Thorn and Roses By Sarah J. Maas
Confessions of a Shopaholic By Sophie Kinsella
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer By Michelle Hodkin
Stalking Jack the Ripper By Kerri Maniscalco
It’s crazy to think a majority of these I own but haven’t started yet. Have you guys read any of these yet? There are so many I want to start I just don’t know where to begin. I would love to know if you guys have read any and if so what you would recommend.
