Blogmas Day 18: Netgalley Arcs I Need To Read #6

Hey guys! It’s time for another update on the Netgalley arcs I need to read. I ended up reading 11 this year which I feel is really good. I did try to make it a point to read some of the older ones I had on the list. I’m pretty sure the oldest one I had was from 2017 and I read that. So I’m very happy about that. I have requested some books. I’ve been trying really hard not to but sometimes I just can’t help myself. It’s hard when a book just sounds so good. Anyway let’s dive in to see what books I still need to read.

What I’ve Read In The Last Couple Of Months

Hey guys! So I have slowly been getting back into blogging. I have posted two reviews after being gone for a couple of months. I was originally thinking maybe I would do indiviual wrap-ups for those months. Then I saw Dora @Berries and Books do just a quick wrap-up of the books she has read since she’s been gone. I thought that would be fun. Thank you so much for the idea! Anyway, the last couple of months my reading has been very up and down. I finally have gotten back into reading which I’m super happy about. So July will have it’s own wrap-up at the end of the month. So let’s dive in and see what I read in the last couple of months! I want to talk about ones that stood out to me and I want to read more from. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Blogmas Day 19: New To Me Authors”

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2

Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe we are in the middle of June right now. I swear June 1st was just yesterday but we’re almost at the end and July is fast approaching. I can’t get over how quick this year is just flying by. It needs to slow down.

Anyway, I have seen this tag going around on youtube and saw some blogger friends post it as well so I thought I’d hop on board and do it. I honestly forgot that I did this last year but I’m excited to do it again! I feel 2019 has been a bit of a difficult reading year for me. I’ve read 38 books so far. I feel this has been a decent reading year. I’ve had some books really stand out and others I haven’t really enjoyed. I also just got out of a bit of a reading slump which I’m glad that’s over with. I do feel I’ve read some enjoyable reads this month so that makes me very happy. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2”

March & April Book Haul

Hey guys! It’s time for another book haul! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a haul. I have been trying to buy less books this year. I recently got rid of a bunch and then I realized I still had plenty that I haven’t read. So now I’m trying to get more books from the library. I think in the future I will post my library hauls because those are posts and videos I enjoy watching. I really only bought 2 of these books. The other ones were trades I ended up making with my friends. I am happy because these are all books I really wanted to read. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “March & April Book Haul”

OWLS Magical Readathon Wrap-up

Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe April is already over and we are on our 2nd day in May. I swear these months are just flying by. It’s crazy to me. Anyway, in April I ended up participating in OWLS Magical Readathon. I did end up switching some books because I didn’t like a couple I picked. Some of the books I read I loved and a couple I really didn’t like at all. I ended up reading 10 out of 12 of the categories. I feel if I ended up enjoying a couple of the books more I probably could have got in another book or 2. I am super excited to say that I did pass all the OWLS for my career which is Auror. I am excited to do the next readathon. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “OWLS Magical Readathon Wrap-up”

Waiting on Wednesday: The Devouring Gray

The Devouring GrayThe Devouring Gray By Christine Lynn Herman

Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult, Lgbt
Pages: 368 pages
Release Date: April 2nd 2019
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion

Plot: Branches and stones, daggers and bones,
They locked the Beast away.

After the death of her sister, seventeen-year-old Violet Saunders finds herself dragged to Four Paths, New York. Violet may be a newcomer, but she soon learns her mother isn’t: They belong to one of the revered founding families of the town, where stone bells hang above every doorway and danger lurks in the depths of the woods.

Justin Hawthorne’s bloodline has protected Four Paths for generations from the Gray—a lifeless dimension that imprisons a brutal monster. After Justin fails to inherit his family’s powers, his mother is determined to keep this humiliation a secret. But Justin can’t let go of the future he was promised and the town he swore to protect.

Ever since Harper Carlisle lost her hand to an accident that left her stranded in the Gray for days, she has vowed revenge on the person who abandoned her: Justin Hawthorne. There are ripples of dissent in Four Paths, and Harper seizes an opportunity to take down the Hawthornes and change her destiny-to what extent, even she doesn’t yet know.

The Gray is growing stronger every day, and its victims are piling up. When Violet accidentally unleashes the monster, all three must band together with the other Founders to unearth the dark truths behind their families’ abilities—before the Gray devours them all.

Why I Need This Book: So I have been hearing so many great things about this. It’s been on my radar for a while now. I am so excited because there is a book signing for it on April 1st. Amanda Foody will be there too which is super exciting. Also I really love the cover for this book. It’s gorgeous. I can’t wait to read it!

Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this book up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for it to come out!
