Down The TBR Hole

Down the TBR List #2

Web

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down The TBR Hole which was created by the lovely Lost In A Story. I really enjoyed doing last week’s clean. I’m hoping this week’s will be as successful. It’s hard for me to get rid of these first 100 books because these are all books I own but some of them I’ve had for years now and probably need to let go of. Here is how it works:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The fact that I  will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR.

The Books:

Guardians of the GalaxyGuardians of The Galaxy, Volume 1: Cosmic Avengers By Brian Michael Bendis

This is a comic so this is something I could finish within a couple of hours.

Judgement: Keep

The Cuckoo's CallingThe Cuckoo’s Calling By Robert Galbriath

This is another book that I have the first and second book. I feel because of that I don’t want to get rid of it. So I’ll give this a chance.

Judgment: Keep

I saw the movie years ago in school and found it super interesting. I had to get the book to get more details about her.

I really love the play a lot. I thought I would wanna check out the play but I honestly think I’m going to pass.

Judgement: Go

CreepCreep By Jennifer Hillier

This book seems super interesting and seems like something I would really enjoy.

Judgement: Keep

I was rereading the summary of this one and it doesn’t really interest me anymore.

If I StayIf I Stay By Gayle Forman

I really want to read a book by Gayle Forman. I’ve heard a lot about them. This one just doesn’t interest me.

This week I made so more progress. I got rid of 3 books which in total now has brought to have removed 7 books in total which I have to say is overall pretty good. If I can remove a couple from my TBR list every week then that’s fine with me. I do feel it’s been a bit tough picking which ones to get rid of. I also feel like I have to get rid of something every week just because but I know I don’t have to. It is nice seeing my list slowly shrink. Already can’t wait to see what books next week tackles!

Hey guys! I decided I would start doing Down The TBR Hole which was created by the lovely Lost In A Story. My TBR has been growing for so many years now. I am at over 700 books on this list. I sometimes will randomly go look at it and take books off but not enough. So I decided this would be a fun way for you guys to see what types of books I’m into while I also attempt to lower my TBR list. I decided I’ll aim to make this a weekly thing on Thursdays. I like adding new types of posts on my blog. I love Book Reviews but sometimes you just gotta switch it up. I’m sure you guys feel the same. So let’s get into how this works:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The fact that I  will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR. Continue reading “Down The TBR Hole #1”
