December & January Wrap-up

Hey guys! I am back! I am hoping to stay back. I have a lot of posts to catch up on. I took a much needed break in January. It just wasn’t my month and needed some time off. I honestly can’t believe we are already in February. Time flies when you can’t really do much. Anyway, I decided I would combine December and January’s wrap-up. I haven’t read too much so I figured I could just combine the two. I feel like I read a couple of good books. I haven’t found anything I really loved. I do hope that changes this month. I’m in need of a good thriller. I haven’t read one of those in a while. Thankfully I have some on my February TBR. I will be sharing that soon. Anyway, let’s dive in to my wrap-up!

This year has been a mess so I’m giving myself a pass. So let’s dive in to see what arcs I need to read from Netgalley.

I haven’t really been posting TBRs because my reading mood has been all over the place. I haven’t been sticking to them. There were some books I really wanted to get to but I don’t think I’ll be able to fit them in. Here’s to starting fresh in the new year. So now let’s dive in to see what I read in November!

Blogmas Day 3: October Wrap-up

Hey guys! So it is time for my October Wrap-up. I know that this is a bit late. I didn’t end up blogging during the month of November. I still wanted to update you guys on what I ended up reading in October. It did end up being a bit more than I remember. However I did read some short stories and some comics so that is part of it. I honestly felt like I read some of these books a while ago. My brain is definitely shot from this year. I do look forward to 2021 and starting a clean slate. I do hope it ends up being better. Anyway now let’s dive in to see what I read in October!

Blogmas Day 2: 25 Reads of December

Hey guys! Once again it is time for the 25 Reads of December. I did want to post this yesterday but I really wanted to do the Top Tuesday. So here I am posting it a day late. I always enjoy this a lot. The 25 Reads of December is done by Riveted. Everyday leading up to Christmas a different book will be free to read for one day. I really love this idea so much. They always include so many amazing books that are in different genres. Also they have a good amount of books that have just recently come out this year.

This year I am not very familiar with a lot of the books on this book. I have only read one of these books which is I Killed Zoe Spanos By Kit Frick. I really enjoyed and recommend listening to on audiobook if you can.

I do find the best way I am able to read these books in a day is when I don’t have anything going on and I’m able to listen to the audiobook. I always try to see if my library has the book before hand. Obviously you don’t have to read these in just a day. I do like that you’re able to start reading it right away. If you do like it you can buy it or even see if you’re library has it. It’s a great way to discover new authors. So let’s dive in to see what I’m going to try to read!

When ViGen Pharmaceuticals asks Jeremiah to be part of an illegal cloning experiment, he sees it as a break from an existence he feels disconnected from. No one will know he’s been replaced—not the son who ignores him, not his increasingly distant wife—since a revolutionary drug called Meld can transfer his consciousness and memories to his copy.

From a luxurious apartment, he watches the clone navigate his day-to-day life. But soon Jeremiah discovers that examining himself from an outsider’s perspective isn’t what he thought it would be, and he watches in horror as “his” life spirals out of control. Synopsis: Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Unger returns with her best novel yet. Reminiscent of the classic Strangers on a Train, Confessions on the 7:45 is a riveting psychological thriller that begins with a chance encounter on a commuter train and shows why you should never, ever make conversation with strangers.

Be careful who you tell your darkest secrets…

Selena Murphy is commuting home from her job in the city when the train stalls out on the tracks. She strikes up a conversation with a beautiful stranger in the next seat, and their connection is fast and easy. The woman introduces herself as Martha and confesses that she’s been stuck in an affair with her boss. Selena, in turn, confesses that she suspects her husband is sleeping with the nanny. When the train arrives at Selena’s station, the two women part ways, presumably never to meet again.

But days later, Selena’s nanny disappears.

Soon Selena finds her once-perfect life upended. As she is pulled into the mystery of the missing nanny, and as the fractures in her marriage grow deeper, Selena begins to wonder, who was Martha really? But she is hardly prepared for what she’ll discover.

Expertly plotted and reminiscent of the timeless classic Strangers on a Train, Confessions on the 7:45 is a stunning web of lies and deceit, and a gripping thriller about the delicate facades we create around our lives.

Overall I did find a couple new reads I liked so let’s dive in to see what books those were!
