Blogmas Day 1: 25 Reads of December

Hey guys! I’m back and hoping to stay back. This year has been a tough one like last year. So for a while I just wasn’t in the mood to blog. I’m hoping Blogmas helps lifts my blogging spirits. I’m not going to have as much free time as I use to but I’m still going to try. I just wanted to give you guys a little update.

Anyway, it’s time again for 25 Reads of December. The 25 Reads of December is done by Riveted. Everyday leading up to Christmas a different book will be free to read for one day. I really love this idea so much. They always include so many amazing books that are in different genres. Also they have a good amount of books that have just recently come out this year.

Once again I haven’t really heard of majority of these books. I have read The Perks of Being a Wallflower By Stephen Chbosky. I’ve also been wanting to read Take Me Home Tonight By Morgan Matson. So maybe I’ll end up picking that up. I do plan on doing more Try A Chapter with some of these books. So let’s dive in and see what I’m going to try to read!

My February TBR

Hey guys! Wow it has been a long time since I have written a TBR post. This month I have some buddy reads and just had some books I really wanted to get to. So I decided why not post a TBR. I feel in the past couple of months I haven’t really had a set TBR. My reading has been all over the place. I also have been in the mood to physically read which has been so nice. The past couple of months have mainly been me listening to audiobooks and pushing myself to physically read. I’m really glad to see that’s changed. I have read two books so far this month so I’m not going to include those on this list. You will see those in my wrap-up. So let’s dive in and see what I’m reading in February!

December & January Wrap-up

Hey guys! I am back! I am hoping to stay back. I have a lot of posts to catch up on. I took a much needed break in January. It just wasn’t my month and needed some time off. I honestly can’t believe we are already in February. Time flies when you can’t really do much. Anyway, I decided I would combine December and January’s wrap-up. I haven’t read too much so I figured I could just combine the two. I feel like I read a couple of good books. I haven’t found anything I really loved. I do hope that changes this month. I’m in need of a good thriller. I haven’t read one of those in a while. Thankfully I have some on my February TBR. I will be sharing that soon. Anyway, let’s dive in to my wrap-up!

Blogmas Day 18: Netgalley Arcs I Need To Read #5

Hey guys! So I figured it was time for another Netgalley update. I am still backed up on e-arcs. I do have some on my TBR for the next couple months. I have decided if I don’t read the ones from the last couple years then I won’t worry about reviewing them. I keep saying I want to get on top of my e-arcs and I keep slacking. This year has been a mess so I’m giving myself a pass. So let’s dive in to see what arcs I need to read from Netgalley.

There were some books I really wanted to get to but I don’t think I’ll be able to fit them in. Here’s to starting fresh in the new year. So now let’s dive in to see what I read in November!

Blogmas Day 3: October Wrap-up

Hey guys! So it is time for my October Wrap-up. I know that this is a bit late. I didn’t end up blogging during the month of November. I still wanted to update you guys on what I ended up reading in October. It did end up being a bit more than I remember. However I did read some short stories and some comics so that is part of it. I honestly felt like I read some of these books a while ago. My brain is definitely shot from this year. I do look forward to 2021 and starting a clean slate. I do hope it ends up being better. Anyway now let’s dive in to see what I read in October!

Blogmas Day 2: 25 Reads of December

Hey guys! Once again it is time for the 25 Reads of December. I did want to post this yesterday but I really wanted to do the Top Tuesday. So here I am posting it a day late. I always enjoy this a lot. The 25 Reads of December is done by Riveted. Everyday leading up to Christmas a different book will be free to read for one day. I really love this idea so much. They always include so many amazing books that are in different genres. Also they have a good amount of books that have just recently come out this year.

This year I am not very familiar with a lot of the books on this book. I have only read one of these books which is I Killed Zoe Spanos By Kit Frick. I really enjoyed and recommend listening to on audiobook if you can.

I do find the best way I am able to read these books in a day is when I don’t have anything going on and I’m able to listen to the audiobook. I always try to see if my library has the book before hand. Obviously you don’t have to read these in just a day. I do like that you’re able to start reading it right away. If you do like it you can buy it or even see if you’re library has it. It’s a great way to discover new authors. So let’s dive in to see what I’m going to try to read!

Publisher: MIRA
Genre:

Synopsis: The offer is too tempting: be part of a scientific breakthrough, step out of his life for a year, and be paid hugely for it. When ViGen Pharmaceuticals asks Jeremiah to be part of an illegal cloning experiment, he sees it as a break from an existence he feels disconnected from. No one will know he’s been replaced—not the son who ignores him, not his increasingly distant wife—since a revolutionary drug called Meld can transfer his consciousness and memories to his copy.

From a luxurious apartment, he watches the clone navigate his day-to-day life. But soon Jeremiah discovers that examining himself from an outsider’s perspective isn’t what he thought it would be, and he watches in horror as “his” life spirals out of control. ViGen needs the experiment to succeed—they won’t call it off, and are prepared to remove any obstacle. With his family in danger, Jeremiah needs to finally find the courage to face himself head-on.

Author Bio: Jane Gilmartin has been a news reporter and editor for several small-town weekly papers and enjoyed a brief but exciting stint as a rock music journalist. Also checked off that list: an accidental singing career, attending a Star Trek convention, and getting a hug from David Bowie. She lives in her hometown of Hingham, Massachusetts.
