I did try to pick books that I remember them mentioning food that sounded good. Unfortunately I don’t remember every book that mentions food so one or two of these might just be because they have food on the cover. So let’s dive in! My June Wrap-up

Hey guys! So I feel like I got into a bit of a slump in April. It effected my reading in May and a bit in June as well. I think I am finally out of that reading slump because I’ve been actually doing a good amount lately. So I’m very happy about that. I did end up reading a little more in June than I did in May so I’m happy about that. I am still behind with some books I wanted to read. I do hope I’m able to catch up in July. My July TBR will be out soon. Anyway let’s jump in to what I read in June. Continue reading “My June Wrap-up”

Top Ten Tuesday: My Summer TBR

Hey guys!!! It’s time again for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is My Summer TBR. So I’ve done these in the past and I feel like sometimes I’ll end up picking up the books and then other times I won’t. I do always try to pick books on my radar that I want to pick up soon. So that’s what I did for this TBR. I also tried to switch it up a little with the genre. I mean there are many thrillers/mysteries and contemporaries in this TBR but I did add at least one romance that seems like it would be a fun summer read. So let’s dive in! My June TBR

Hey guys! It’s time for me to post my June TBR. I ended up not reading most of what I wanted to in May. I’m not sure what it was but I wasn’t in a mood to read. I’m not sure if it had to do with April where I forced myself to read books I wasn’t feeling but my reading slowed down a lot. It’s currently June 6th and I haven’t picked up anything to read yet. I guess I’m in a little bit of a slump which is a sad. I’m hoping I can get myself out of this cause I have a good amount of books I want to read. So let’s dive in and hope I get to these. Why I Need This Book: Well last year I read Ace of Shades and ended up falling in love with the series. It ended up being such a fun and exciting read. Well finally the sequel is out in a week and I can’t wait for you to read it. I was lucky enough to get an e-arc of it. It was really good. I am hoping to have a review for it up on Friday. So look out for that. Prepare for a wild ride.

Hot Dog GirlHot Dog Girl By Jennifer Dugan

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, LGBT, Romance
Pages: 320 pages
Release Date: April 30 2019
Publisher: G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers

Plot: Elouise (Lou) Parker is determined to have the absolute best, most impossibly epic summer of her life. There are just a few things standing in her way:

* She’s landed a job at Magic Castle Playland . . . as a giant dancing hot dog.
* Her crush, the dreamy Diving Pirate Nick, already has a girlfriend, who is literally the Princess of the park. But Lou’s never liked anyone, guy or otherwise, this much before, and now she wants a chance at her own happily ever after.
* Her best friend, Seeley, the carousel operator, who’s always been up for anything, suddenly isn’t when it comes to Lou’s quest to set her up with the perfect girl or Lou’s scheme to get close to Nick.
* And it turns out that this will be their last summer at Magic Castle Playland–ever–unless she can find a way to stop it from closing.

Jennifer Dugan’s sparkling debut coming-of-age queer romance stars a princess, a pirate, a hot dog, and a carousel operator who find love–and themselves–in unexpected people and unforgettable places.

Why I Need This Book: So this book was an automatic add to the TBR when I saw the cover. A girl dressed up as a giant hot dog, sign me up. Then I read the plot and it seems it takes place at an amusement park which I am always down for. This just sounds like a fun fluffy read. I am here for it.

Have you gotten to read these early? If so what are your thoughts on them? If not, are you guys interested in picking these books up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!
