Hey guys! Merry Christmas Eve Eve to you all! One of my favorite days of the year. I am so excited to bring to you my favorites of the year. I did notice I didn’t really give many books a 5 star. I think only 3 books which is wild to me. I feel this year has been a bit of an iffy reading year for me. I am hoping 2022 is better. That is so crazy to say. I still can’t believe it is next week. Anyway let’s dive in to see my favorite of the year.

Blogmas Day 16: Book Review – Friends Like These By Kimberly McCreight

Friends Like These By Kimberly McCreight

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Fiction, Adult, Suspense, Adult Fiction
Pages: 320 pages
Publication Date: September 7th 2021
Publisher: Harper

Plot: Everyone has those friends. Doesn’t matter how long it’s been, or how badly they’ve occasionally behaved, or how late it is when that call finally comes—you show up. No questions asked.

Honestly, that’s how the five of us ended up here in the Catskills. We did have the best of intentions. Especially after what happened to Alice all those years ago, we can’t bear to think of losing anyone else. In fact, we’ll do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen. We’ll go so much farther than we ever thought we would.

In the end, maybe that’s what caught up with us. That, and the fact that we’re such a complicated group—so much history and so many big personalities. Secrets, too, that can slip out at the most inopportune moments. Of course, we love each other despite all of those things. We love each other no matter what.

There’s something so beautiful about that kind of unconditional love. It can turn ugly, though. Or maybe that’s just us. After all, we’ve already been through so much together. And we have so very much to hide.

My February TBR

Hey guys! Wow it has been a long time since I have written a TBR post. This month I have some buddy reads and just had some books I really wanted to get to. So I decided why not post a TBR. I feel in the past couple of months I haven’t really had a set TBR. My reading has been all over the place. I also have been in the mood to physically read which has been so nice. The past couple of months have mainly been me listening to audiobooks and pushing myself to physically read. I’m really glad to see that’s changed. I have read two books so far this month so I’m not going to include those on this list. You will see those in my wrap-up. So let’s dive in and see what I’m reading in February!

Blogmas Day 13: Books I Didn’t Get To In 2020

Hey guys! Wow I honestly can’t believe that 2020 is almost over. This year has been such a weird one. There have been some books I read that honestly felt like I read them years ago. I did make a list at the beginning of the year where I talked about 20 books I wanted to read this year. Unfortunately I didn’t get to majority of those. I feel in previous years I usually make TBRs and follow through. This year I wasn’t in the mood for that. I do hope next year ends up being better in general. Anyway for this list I wanted to talk about some 2020 releases I was excited for but didn’t get to. So let’s dive in!

Blogmas Day 6: Signed Books I’ve Gotten Rid Of

Hey guys! So this post is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while now. A part of me was wondering if I should get rid of these books. Another part of me didn’t want to. I know however that these are books I won’t pick up again It’s a shame because a good portion of these are personalized. I did end up meeting some of these authors. Some of these are books that I got when I was an OwlCrate subscriber. Other books I just ended up picking up the signed edition. I am sad to see some of these go but I do hope they go to a better place where they are enjoyed. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Blogmas Day 6: Signed Books I’ve Gotten Rid Of”
