Hey guys! Today I’m going to be posting about the Lowest Rated Books I’ve Read. I’ve been seeing this trend go around on the blogs and I believe maybe on Booktube too? I wish I knew who started it. If anyone knows, please let me know. I would love to give credit where the credit is due. I’m so curious to see what is on this list. I’m going off of goodreads. Looking at a glance I have some books I added from 2014 so I will be skipping those. I want to keep it within the last couple of years. Let’s dive in!

Top Ten Tuesday: (First Ten) Books I Reviewed
Hey guys!!! It’s time again for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is (First Ten) Books I Reviewed. So the prompt says it does not have to be formal reviews. It can be a couple sentences. It also can be from a retailer site or goodreads. So goodreads does show you the books you’ve reviewed but it doesn’t show you in the order you’ve reviewed. it. So I thought it would be fun to see what were the first 10 book reviews I posted on my blog. I think that would be a fun trip down memory lane. So let’s dive in.
Also I am sorry about this post going up so late in the day. I just purchased My Time At Portia and it’s taken over my life. Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: (First Ten) Books I Reviewed”
February Wrap-Up
Hey guys! So thankfully February ended up being a really good month for me. I read a lot more than I did in January. So I am very happy about that. I’m still behind on my goodreads challenge. I hope that I can change that in the month of March. Now let’s see what I read in February. Continue reading “February Wrap-Up”
Thrillerathon Wrap-up
Hey guys! So I took part in Thrillerathon last week. It lasted from February 17th to February. Here you can read my TBR post for it. I just want to thank Harriet Rosie for being a great host. It was a lot of fun. I can’t wait for the next one! So let’s see how it went! Continue reading “Thrillerathon Wrap-up”

Down the TBR Hole # 10
Hey guys!! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I am finally up to my 10th one! I was hoping to be under 700 books but that’s not the case. I hope by the 20th one I get under. Now let’s dive in to my list.
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
The fact that I will be repeating this process every week means that I have to keep track of where I ended and where I’m going to continue. E.g. in week one I do book 1 – 5, in week two book 6 – 10, and so on, until I’ve filtered out my entire TBR. Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole # 10”
Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books You’ve Read In 2017 So Far
Hey guys!! It’s time once again for another Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by The Broke and Bookish. This will be their last Top Ten Tuesday until August 15th. I’m excited to do this because I’ve read 59 books so far. This should be fun!
I just want to know these are in no order. These are just some books that have stood out to me that I really liked. There are a couple more that I really did like but I wanted to keep it at 10.
Megan Meade’s Guide to the McGowan Boys by Kate Brian
Reason: This was a book I bought a while ago when it was on sale in the iBooks store. I finally decided I was going to read it. I have to say I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It ended up being a very enjoyable read.
The Truth About Forever By Sarah Dessen
Reason: I loved this book so much. It was such a fun summer read. I didn’t end up reading it in the summer time but just everything about I really enjoyed. I was so upset I ended up taking so long to finally read this one. Hands down my favorite Sarah Dessen book.
You Will Know Me By Megan Abbott
Reason: I think part of me enjoying this book so much was because I read it in parts each day. I would have to wait for the next day to find out just a little bit more. It made the experience even more suspenseful because I was dying to know what was going to happen. I really ended up enjoying this one.
One of Us is Lying By Karen M. McManus
Reason: This is a book I was really looking forward to reading and did not disappoint. It shocked me and left me completely surprised by the ending. I could not get over it. I have to say this book was worth the wait.
The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas
Reason: This is a book I got from netgalley probably last year. I had sat on it for a while and this year finally decided to read it. I was so upset I waited so long for it. It was such a shocking read. I honestly didn’t see anything coming. I looked up the author right after and saw she was coming out with a new book this year. You know I can’t wait for that to come out.
The Girl You Lost By Kathryn Croft
Reason: This ended up being another really good thriller that I was not expecting. It was another book I had gotten from Netgalley but didn’t end up reading. I was so disappointed I waited so long because this was so good. It had me feeling on the edge at times and I really enjoyed that it messed with me a little. Not too many books do that to me so it was interesting to that a book could actually do that to me. I really need to read other books from this author.
Girl Out of Water By Laura Silverman
Reason: This was a book I didn’t know too much about. I ended up really enjoying it a lot. It was a nice coming of age story. I have to say I was jealous of this characters life but I also felt I related to her in some ways. It ended up being a really fun read for me. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.
A Life in Parts By Bryan Cranston
Reason: Okay so if you’re really shocked this is here you really don’t know me at all lol. I am a huge Breaking Bad fan which means I am a huge supporter of Bryan Cranston. The moment I head he was writing a book I knew I needed that book. I did end up getting carried away and bought a signed copy but worth it. He ends up telling it all and I enjoyed that. He wasn’t afraid to hold back. I would highly recommend this if you’re a fan.
Pretty Girls By Karin Slaughter
Reason: This book right here. Wow I was pretty shocked by everything in this book. It was so surprising and I gotta admit a bit graphic but I enjoyed that. I know a lot of people said it ended up being too graphic for them but I actually ended up enjoying it. It made the story shocking and a lot more intense. I can’t wait to read more from Karin.
Lady Mechanika, Vol. 1: The Mystery of the Mechanical Corpse By Joe Benitez
Reason: This is such an underrated comic. I found out about this from my boyfriend and it just so happened volume 1 and 2 were on Netgalley to read right away. The artwork ended up being incredible. Hands down the biggest draw. Don’t get me wrong the story was a lot of fun and I couldn’t wait to continue it but the artwork was so well done. I can’t wait for the next volume.
Top 5 Wednesday: Books as Event Themes
So once again it’s time for Top 5 Wednesday. I am super excited for this one because it’s a bit different and sounds like so much fun. I love the idea of having books bring people together so why not have events inspired by books.
This week’s theme : Books as Events Themes — It’s party season, whether that is high school prom, weddings, or summer holiday events. What books would make a good party/event theme??
You Will Know Me By Megan Abbott
Reason: Okay so right away I think this would be fun without the murder. This book has gymnastics in it. I don’t know if you guys have ever been to the places where they have the foam pit with the rope where you swing a couple times and jump in. I picture there being a trampoline. I also picture rock climbing. I feel that would be a fun event for people to go to. It’s fun and it’s different. It’s been ages since I did the foam pit and have always wanted to go back.
Since You’ve Been Gone By Morgan Matson
Reason: So in this book Sloane disappears and leaves her best friend Emily a list of things she must do. So it’s basically a scavenger hunt. I think this would be such a great thing to do with a bunch of people. I love it because you can easily come up with stuff. I know girls do this sometimes for their bachelorette parties so you can have fun with it. This is something I’ve always wanted to do with my friends. I can see it being really fun and having people take risks.
Reason: Okay so I’m a huge It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fan. I feel it would be so fun to have a themed party. There are so many people you can dress up as. I can see it being a really great time. I just wish I had more friends that watched IASIP. If you watch, let’s get a IASIP happening soon.
Lady Mechanika, Vol. 1: The Mystery of Mechanical Corpse By Joe Benítez
Reason: Lady Mechanika is a comic I just discovered this year. It’s steampunk which I don’t really read a lot of. I absolutely love the artwork. The artist dis such an amazing job with all the costumes. I think it would be fun to dress up like the characters in this comic. I can see if people get really into it they would have some amazing costumes.
And Then There Were None By Agatha Christie
Reason: Okay so I mainly put this on my list because I really want to do a murder mystery type of party. I think that would be such a fun concept. I know my friend went to one about a year ago and it seemed like she liked it. I love the idea that everyone is playing a character and you’re trying to figure out who the murder is. I love mystery and thrillers so it’s basically like living those books except nobody actually ends up dying and killing anyone. I do hope to go to one soon.
Would you guys attend any of these events based off books? I do have to say this was a toughie but I really enjoyed trying to pick out books for this. What are some books you would base an event off of? I really would learn to hear what you guys come up with!
Top 5: Authors You Want to Read More From
The theme for this week is: Authors You Want to Read More From — Talk about some authors that you’ve only read one or a few books from, and you NEED to read more!
Kathryn Croft – I recently just read The Girl You Lost. I really enjoyed the book. It started off very fast paced and kept me guessing all the way through. I felt very freaked out after reading this book and I’ve never felt that way after reading a book. I know Kathryn has a couple more books. This isn’t even her most popular book. I’m excited to read more of her books in the future.
Megan Abbott – So I’ve read two Megan Abbott books. I didn’t like the first book I read, Dare Me, but I absolutely loved the second book, You Will Know Me. So I really would like to read more of Megan’s books to see if she is an author I actually enjoy or I just ended up getting lucky with the one book. I have been eying reading her other books and I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. I have been wanting to buy them from Book Outlet. So many I will give them a chance soon.
Matthew Quick – I read Silver Linings Playbook a couple years and I really enjoyed it. I’ve been wanting to read more from Matthew for a while now. I actually own a couple of his other books but I just haven’t gotten around to reading them. I am super excited for Every Exquisite Thing. My one friend was raving about it to me. If anything that is going to be the next book I read by him.

March Wrap-up
Hey guys!! So I’m super excited to share my March Wrap-up with you guys. March ended up being a really good month for me. I ended up reading a lot of really good books. I also discovered some new authors that I really enjoyed. I hope that April turns out to be just as good of a month. Continue reading “March Wrap-up”
