Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe April is already over and we are on our 2nd day in May. I swear these months are just flying by. It’s crazy to me. Anyway, in April I ended up participating in OWLS Magical Readathon. I did end up switching some books because I didn’t like a couple I picked. Some of the books I read I loved and a couple I really didn’t like at all. I ended up reading 10 out of 12 of the categories. I feel if I ended up enjoying a couple of the books more I probably could have got in another book or 2. I am super excited to say that I did pass all the OWLS for my career which is Auror. I am excited to do the next readathon. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “OWLS Magical Readathon Wrap-up” →
Hey guys! I decided I would combine my December and January haul because in January I only bought myself one book. I am currently trying to decrease my spending on books. The past week I went through my shelves and got rid of a ton of books. I didn’t get rid of everything I wanted but it’s a start. I also ended up getting rid of two of my book shelves that were falling apart so right now my two remaining shelves are crammed. So right now if there is a book I really want I will get it from the library. Anyway let’s dive in! Continue reading “December & January Book Haul” →

Hey guys! I hope you all are doing well. It’s time for me to post my Monthly Wrap-up. Since I didn’t post October’s Monthly Wrap-up last month, I will be including it in this post as well. I have to say October and November were good reading months for me.
In October, I took place in a readathon, Spookathon. I ended up getting in a lot of reading done that week. I was very surprised and also very happy with myself.
In November, I got a lot of reading done. In the last week alone I ended up reading about 4 books. I got really into audio books. I realized it helps me read a lot faster. I will be using audio books a lot more in the future.
Now let’s see what books I ended up reading in October and November. Continue reading “Monthly Wrap-up” →

Rough Riders By Adam Glass (Writer), Patrick Olliffe (Artist and Regular Cover Artist), Gabe Eltaeb (Colorist), and Sal Cipriano (Letterer)
Publication Date: January 10th 2017
Publisher: Aftershock Comics
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Plot: Collecting the first seven issues of the epic AfterShock series!
At the cusp of the 1898 World’s Fair, America is poised to become Earth’s most industrious nation. When a terrible power emerges from the darkness, a group of unlikely heroes team-up to stop it. A tortured Teddy Roosevelt recruits a struggling Coney Island magician named Harry Houdini: a hard-drinking, gun-slinger, Annie Oakley; a financially strapped and aging Thomas Edison; and a boisterous, womanizing African American boxer with a big chip on his shoulder named Jack Johnson. These legends of old will soon wage a shadow war that will change the course of history for America, and the world. That is of course, if they don’t kill one another first.
Don’t miss out on this first collection from ADAM GLASS (executive producer of Supernatural & writer of Suicide Squad) and PAT OLLIFFE (Untold Tales of Spider-Man).
