Blogmas Day 18: Netgalley Arcs I Need To Read #6

Hey guys! It’s time for another update on the Netgalley arcs I need to read. I ended up reading 11 this year which I feel is really good. I did try to make it a point to read some of the older ones I had on the list. I’m pretty sure the oldest one I had was from 2017 and I read that. So I’m very happy about that. I have requested some books. I’ve been trying really hard not to but sometimes I just can’t help myself. It’s hard when a book just sounds so good. Anyway let’s dive in to see what books I still need to read.

Blogmas Day 11: My Most Anticipated Books of 2022

Hey guys!! I can’t get how December is just flying by. I swear so many things have happened this year that feel like they happened years ago. Overall it’s been a decent year. One of the things I look forward to is getting hyped for the new books of the new year. I have to say I haven’t been super up to date with what’s coming out. I haven’t been on Twitter a lot lately. I feel like I usually find out about new releases from Twitter. YouTube does help me out a lot with new releases as well. I do try to look up my favorite authors every once in a while to see. Sometimes things just slip through the cracks. So here are some of my most anticipated books of 2022 that are on my radar. Let’s dive in!

Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book?

Harry Potter By J.K. Rowling. I remember I had gotten a bunch of the books for Christmas one year. Then my Dad decided to read them to me before bed. It was always my favorite part of the day. Then as the books continued to come out we would go to the midnight release. So I have a lot of cherished memories for these books.

Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it(a little morid, but…)?

Hm this is a toughie for me. I am currently going through my Read book shelf on goodreads to see what sticks out to me.

(After a couple minutes of looking) Honestly this is harder than I thought. I kinda wanted to do a funny book title. Basically something to do with the situation I am in but it’s tough to pick one.

I decided on The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. That book gives me all the emotions. Also like how cool would it be to be buried dressed like Evelyn on the cover. I’m down.

Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside?(The fluffiest, cutest romance you’ve ever read?)

I’m looking at my favorite books and majority are thrillers. The romance books have a pretty sad storyline to them. Damn so I think I’ll have to go with Geekerella. I thought that was just cute an fluffy.

Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read?

One by One By Ruth Ware. That book took place during an avalanche where people were getting murdered and there was no where to go. It actually was a very enjoyable read. If you wanna hear more on my thoughts you can find my review Here.

Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?

The Wife Between Us By Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. This book had me sucked in right from the start. I was shocked by the outcome of the story and didn’t except anything.

Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover?

End of Watch By Stephen King. The first two books ended up matching each other. Then they decided to switch things up for the last book. I ended up getting rid of all the books because I wasn’t into the third one at all.

Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read?

Unboxed By Briana Morgan. I know it’s a short story and is written in play format but it’s the last book I remember sitting and finishing from start to finish. This book had me invested and I couldn’t put it down.

Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wishlist this year?

Little Cruelties By Liz Nugent. Liz has become an autobuy author for me. I loved Lying in Wait and Unraveling Oliver. They were both just fantastic. Her third book which is Skin Deep was not published in the U.S. Thankfully my friend bought a copy from book depository. Anyway the moment I saw this was being published in the U.S. I knew I had to own it. I do hope I get it.

I Tag:

Bex @As Told By Bex

Destiny @Howling Libraries

Ashley @Falling Down the Book Hole

Whit @Whit Reads Lit

Flavia @Flavia The Bibliophile

Meeghan @Meeghan Reads

And whoever else wants to do this!

I had so much fun with this tag! I always enjoy doing them and then whenever I get tagged I always forget. I really enjoyed the Christmas theme with this one. I do hope more pop up.

Waiting On Wednesday: You Are Not Alone By Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen & The June Boys By Courtney C. Stevens

You Are Not AloneYou Are Not Alone By Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

Genre: Thriller, Mystery, Fiction
Pages: 352 pages
Release Date: March 3rd 2020
Publisher: St. Martin’s Press

Plot: You probably know someone like Shay Miller.
She wants to find love, but it eludes her.
She wants to be fulfilled, but her job is a dead end.
She wants to belong, but her life is so isolated.

You probably don’t know anyone like the Moore sisters.
They have an unbreakable circle of friends.
They live the most glamorous life.
They always get what they desire.

Shay thinks she wants their life.
But what they really want is hers.

Why I Need This Book: I am a huge fan of The Wife Between Us. It’s one of my favorite thrillers. I will not stop raving about it. It ended up really surprising me. So the moment I heard they had another book coming out I was so excited. I got this sent early from the publishers after loving The Wife Between Us so much. I wasn’t a big fan of An Anonymous Girl but still couldn’t wait for this. I did read this because I wanted to review it before it came out. I loved it. It was so good.

My Review

The June BoysThe June Boys By Courtney C. Stevens

Genre: Young Adult, Mystery, Thriller
Pages: 368 pages
Release Date: March 3rd 2020
Publisher: Thomas Nelson

Plot:The Gemini Thief could be anyone. Your father, your mother, your best friend’s crazy uncle. Some country music star’s deranged sister. Anyone.

The Gemini Thief is a serial kidnapper, who takes three boys and holds them captive from June 1st to June 30th of the following year. The June Boys endure thirteen months of being stolen, hidden, observed, and fed before they are released, unharmed, by their masked captor. The Thief is a pro, having eluded authorities for nearly a decade and taken at least twelve boys.

Now Thea Delacroix has reason to believe the Gemini Thief took a thirteenth victim: her cousin, Aulus McClaghen.

But the game changes when one of the kidnapped boys turns up dead. Together with her boyfriend Nick and her best friends, Thea is determined to find the Gemini Thief and the remaining boys before it’s too late. Only she’s beginning to wonder something sinister, something repulsive, something unbelievable, and yet, not impossible:

What if her father is the Gemini Thief?

Why I Need This Book: So I heard about this book from Lala @BooksandLala. It sounded really interesting and right up my alley. I actually got approved for the e-arc of this book. I started reading it and was interested in it but the formatting was all messed up. There are pictures and letters in this book and it’s hard to look at those. So I decided that I’m going to wait until the psychical copy comes out to read it. I really can’t wait to get back to reading this soon.

Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!
