Hey guys! So I figured it was time for another Netgalley update. I am still backed up on e-arcs. I do have some on my TBR for the next couple months. I have decided if I don’t read the ones from the last couple years then I won’t worry about reviewing them. I keep saying I want to get on top of my e-arcs and I keep slacking. This year has been a mess so I’m giving myself a pass. So let’s dive in to see what arcs I need to read from Netgalley.
Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe we are on day 16 of Blogmas. Time is seriously just flying by. Last week I did my first week of Try A Chapter Tag. I like getting a little taste of all these books. I have been really interested in some. Others I have decided I’m just going to unhaul or just not read. I even found some that weren’t on my radar. So let’s dive in and see what books I tried in the last week.
Hey guys, it’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The theme for this week is Books On My Winter 2020-2021 TBR. In my last couple posts I feel I mentioned I haven’t really been sticking to a TBR. I am usually more on top of that. So these are books I’m leading towards reading. I do hope to get to majority of these. So let’s dive in to see what books I hope to read.
Hey guys! So last time I updated you on Netgalley Arcs I needed to read it was last year for Blogmas. So I figured I would update you again this Blogmas. I honestly haven’t requested too many e-arcs on Netgalley this year. I did want to try to read up all the ones I had to review…but that didn’t happen. I want to be more on top of that next year. So let’s dive in to see what those e-arcs are. Continue reading “Blogmas Day 8: Netgalley Arcs I Need To Read #4”
Hey guys! So it’s been a little while since I updated you guys and showed you what Netgalley arcs I still need to read and review. Last time I did this I had 10 arcs. I now also have 10 arcs I need to read. I have been trying not to request anymore. It just gets hard when you see a book you really want to read. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Blogmas Day 7: Netgalley Arcs I Need To Read #3”
Hey guys!!! It’s time again for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is books on my fall TBR. I am so excited for this. Fall is my favorite time of the year. Plus for this list I decided to pick books I have access to and really want to read. I’m so behind on my reading challenge but I hope these books help me pick up the slack. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Fall 2018 TBR”
Hey guys! So in my last Book Haul I mentioned how I’m probably going to be slowing down and not buy so many books. Well that’s just what I ended up doing. I haven’t bought much between July and August so I decided to combine the two posts. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “July & August Book Haul”

What was the first book you reviewed, and what star rating did you give it?
So I honestly don’t remember the first book I ever reviewed. I’m sure I could go on goodreads and find that out. I decided to do the first book I ever reviewed on my blog. That is Eleanor and Park By Rainbow Rowell. You can find the review here.
Would you rather DNF a book, or give it a poor star rating?
I honestly rather DNF a book. I don’t like giving books poor ratings. It’s such a crappy feeling when I don’t like a book. I hate when it was something I was looking forward to.
Where do you primarily acquire your books from? (i.e. specific bookstore, library, Amazon, etc.)
I have to say I do usually order books from amazon. I will also go to Barnes and Nobles. I also really like walking to the library so I’ll go there as well.
Have you ever/would you ever name a pet after a bookish character?
I have never named my pet after a bookish character. I can see myself naming a pet after someone from a book though. I’m still not really sure who I’d name the pet after though.
Is there a song that makes you think of a specific book?
When I first read this question I didn’t have an answer but the song from Gemina By Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff just popped into my head. I believe the song is from that one. It’s the oh yeah wanna lick your lollipop song.
What was the last book to make your mouth water with its food descriptions?
Destiny, I was just telling you that Anna and The French Kiss By Stephanie Perkins had me craving crepes. I was dying for one the other week. I still haven’t gotten one and now I want it again lol.
What was the last blog you followed? Give them a shout out!
I am so bad at this. I honestly don’t remember the last blog I followed. I am sorry 😦
Do you like BookTube? If so, who are your 5 favorite BookTubers?
Yes I do like BookTube. I do have a couple of favorite youtubers whose videos I try to watch when I go on.
Here they are:
I think I’m going to do a post soon about my favorite youtubers. These are just a few of the people whose videos I try to watch when they upload. I do have others I really like as well. Plus I haven’t been watching as much lately.
Is there a bookish theme you refuse to read about, or a genre you won’t touch?
Um I don’t think so. I mean I’m willing to give everything a chance as long as it interests me. Sure there are some books I know I don’t want to read just cause I’m not into what they’re about.
Bookish candles: burn them or preserve them?
I currently own one bookish candle. I haven’t burned it yet. I feel I probably will once it gets colder out. I love burning candles.
What was the last book you hauled?
I ended up recently hauling The Last Time I Lied By Riley Sager and Somebody’s Daughter By David Bell. I went to their book signing event last Wednesday.
- If you could meet any author who would you meet?
- What is the last book you regretted buying?
- If you had the chance to write a book with any author who would you pick?
- What book made a really big impact on you?
- Where is your favorite place to read?
- If you could turn any book into a movie, what book would you pick?
- Which bookish character do you look up to and why?
- If you could live the life as any character who would you pick and why?
- Would you ever get a bookish tattoo or do you already have one? What would you get?
You’re only allowed to read one more book and that’s it, what book do you pick?
Somebody’s Daughter By David Bell
Genre: Mystery, Thriller, Suspense
Pages: 432 pages
Release Date: July 10th 2018
Publisher: Berkley Books
Plot: When Michael Frazier’s ex-wife, Erica, shows up on his doorstep pleading for help, she drops a bombshell that threatens to rip his family apart: Erica’s nine-year-old daughter is missing–and Michael is the father. Unable to quickly determine if Erica is telling the truth, and unwilling to leave the little girl’s fate to chance, Michael has no choice but to follow the elusive trail of the child he has always wanted and never knew he had.
But finding Felicity comes at a price–the closer Michael gets to the truth, the further into jeopardy his marriage falls and the faster his family begins to unravel. As lies that span a decade bubble to the surface and the window for Felicity’s safe return closes, Michael will have just a few short days to decide who can be trusted and who is hiding the truth.
Why I Need This Book: I recently read David Bell’s book, Bring Her Home. I ended up really enjoying it a lot. It had a lot of surprises. So I am really excited to see what he’s come up with for this book. I do have an e-arc of this book. I am hoping to read it soon. There is an event that he will be at so I would like to have the book read by then but we shall see.
Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this book up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for it to come out!
Hey guys!!! It’s time again for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is, Books to Read By the Pool/At the Beach (This can also serve as your summer TBR). I am doing this post more as a summer TBR. I am not a huge fan of the beach and if I’m by a pool I will mostly be in it lol. So let’s dive in. (I wish I was diving into a pool right now tbh.)
