My February TBR

Hey guys! I am so excited to share with you my February TBR. I didn’t end up doing one last month for January because I barley blogged and I was sick most of the month so my energy was low. I feel I have a lot to read this month. I have a couple of arcs for books coming out in March that I want to get to. I’m also doing some buddy reads. I am also a bit behind on buddy reads. I want to get to those books I’m behind but after I finish my set TBR. So let’s dive in and see what I want to read in February. Continue reading “My February TBR”

Blogmas Day 10: Books I Didn’t Get To in 2019

Hey guys! So 2019 has been a wild year for me. I am bummed to say I feel I spent a bit of the portion of the year in a reading slump. I did end up reading but I felt a lot of the books I wasn’t a fan of or took me longer to get through than normal. I am happy to say December is so far looking to be a good month. I have finished 2 books. I slowed down the last couple of days because I just went away. I do hope it will pick up now that I’m back home. (Can I just say this is so weird writing this before I’ve even gone away. I had to write a bunch of posts early. I just know that I won’t get much reading done.) Anywho, let’s dive in and see what books I wanted to read but didn’t this year. Continue reading “Blogmas Day 10: Books I Didn’t Get To in 2019”

Waiting on Wednesday: Gwendy’s Magic Feather By Richard Chizmar and Stephen King

Gwendy's Magic FeatherGwendy’s Magic Feather By Richard Chizmar and Stephen King

Genre: Horror, Fantasy, Fiction
Pages: 333 pages
Release Date: November 19th 2019
Publisher: Cemetery Dance Publications

Plot: Something evil has swept into the small western Maine town of Castle Rock on the heels of the latest winter storm. Sheriff Norris Ridgewick and his team are desperately searching for two missing girls, but time is running out to bring them home alive.

In Washington D.C., thirty-seven-year-old Gwendy Peterson couldn’t be more different from the self-conscious teenaged girl who once spent a summer running up Castle Rock’s Suicide Stairs. That same summer, she was entrusted – or some might say cursed – with the extraordinary button box by Richard Farris, the mysterious stranger in the black suit. The seductive and powerful box offered Gwendy small gifts in exchange for its care and feeding until Farris eventually returned, promising Gwendy she’d never see the box again.

One day, though, the button box shows up without warning – and without Richard Farris to explain why, or what she’s supposed to do with it. The mysterious reappearance of the box, along with the troubling disappearances in Castle Rock, leads Gwendy home again… where she just might be able to help rescue the missing girls and stop a madman before he does something ghastly.

From New York Times bestseller Richard Chizmar comes Gwendy’s Magic Feather, a breathtaking novel that asks whether our lives are controlled by fate or the choices we make – and what price we might have to pay for those choices when we reach for the things we most desire. Prepare to return again to Stephen King’s Castle Rock, the sleepy little town built on a bedrock of deep, dark secrets, which is about to awaken from its quiet slumber once more.

Why I Need This Book: So I read the first book, Gwendy’s Button Box and I ended up really enjoying it. I don’t think at the time I realized they were making this into a series. I’m not sure if they said they were and I don’t remember or that they recently decided to add more to the book. I do really I really liked the first book plus it was such a quick read. So I can’t wait to check this one and get back into that world. I probably will end up reading Gwendy’s Button Box again so I can get a refresher. I’m excited to be back in this world though! Can’t wait!

Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!

Down The TBR Hole #65

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down The TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! This is getting tougher because I am quickly getting into books I’ve recently added to my TBR. Since doing this I have been a lot more selective about the books I’ve added. So a lot of these are either books I own or books I really want to read. I know there are still I probably am not as interested in so I’m going to aim to get rid of those. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Down The TBR Hole #65”

So today I thought I’d share with you some of the books I was really excited for but didn’t end up picking up. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Blogmas Day 13: Books I Didn’t Get To In 2018”
