Hey guys! So today I thought I would share with you books I was really looking forward to reading but disappointed me. These are all books I read in 2019. They can be books that came out before or came out in 2019. I am so bummed about these books because I wanted to love all of these. Some of these were even in my 5 Star Prediction Post that I did. So let’s dive in and see what books these are Continue reading “Blogmas Day 21: My Disappointing Reads of 2019”

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2
Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe we are in the middle of June right now. I swear June 1st was just yesterday but we’re almost at the end and July is fast approaching. I can’t get over how quick this year is just flying by. It needs to slow down.
Anyway, I have seen this tag going around on youtube and saw some blogger friends post it as well so I thought I’d hop on board and do it. I honestly forgot that I did this last year but I’m excited to do it again! I feel 2019 has been a bit of a difficult reading year for me. I’ve read 38 books so far. I feel this has been a decent reading year. I’ve had some books really stand out and others I haven’t really enjoyed. I also just got out of a bit of a reading slump which I’m glad that’s over with. I do feel I’ve read some enjoyable reads this month so that makes me very happy. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag #2”
Book Review: The Sun is Also a Star By Nicola Yoon
The Sun Is Also a Star By Nicola Yoon
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Fiction
Pages: 384 pages
Published: November 1st 2016
Publisher: Delacorte Press
My Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars
Synopsis: Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.
The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true? Continue reading “Book Review: The Sun is Also a Star By Nicola Yoon”
OWLS Magical Readathon Wrap-up
Hey guys! I honestly can’t believe April is already over and we are on our 2nd day in May. I swear these months are just flying by. It’s crazy to me. Anyway, in April I ended up participating in OWLS Magical Readathon. I did end up switching some books because I didn’t like a couple I picked. Some of the books I read I loved and a couple I really didn’t like at all. I ended up reading 10 out of 12 of the categories. I feel if I ended up enjoying a couple of the books more I probably could have got in another book or 2. I am super excited to say that I did pass all the OWLS for my career which is Auror. I am excited to do the next readathon. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “OWLS Magical Readathon Wrap-up”
My OWLS Magical Readathon TBR (Aka My April TBR)
Hey guys, so I’m sure you’ve been seeing a lot of these posts going around. I am super excited to announce that I will be participating in the OWLS Magical Readathon which is hosted by the lovely G @ Book Roast. Here is the announcement video for this years readathon.
This is a readathon I’ve wanted to participate for a while now. I just never did. So this is new to me but I am very excited about it. I know this year G really went above and beyond. She made a whole booklet which has all the prompts for the readathon, which you can find here, as well as requirements for wizarding careers, which you can find here, for the NEWTS readathon that happens in August.
So for this readathon I did pick a career. I decided to pick the Auror career. It sounded really badass and just something I knew I would never do if had the chance. So I decided I’d live dangerously through this readathon. I also picked books for the other prompts as well just in case I wanted to read more for the readathon. So I’ll be posting all my picks for all the prompts. So let’s dive in! Continue reading “My OWLS Magical Readathon TBR (Aka My April TBR)”
