Hey guys! I am back! I am hoping to stay back. I have a lot of posts to catch up on. I took a much needed break in January. It just wasn’t my month and needed some time off. I honestly can’t believe we are already in February. Time flies when you can’t really do much. Anyway, I decided I would combine December and January’s wrap-up. I haven’t read too much so I figured I could just combine the two. I feel like I read a couple of good books. I haven’t found anything I really loved. I do hope that changes this month. I’m in need of a good thriller. I haven’t read one of those in a while. Thankfully I have some on my February TBR. I will be sharing that soon. Anyway, let’s dive in to my wrap-up!

Blogmas Day 10: Books I Didn’t Get To in 2019
Hey guys! So 2019 has been a wild year for me. I am bummed to say I feel I spent a bit of the portion of the year in a reading slump. I did end up reading but I felt a lot of the books I wasn’t a fan of or took me longer to get through than normal. I am happy to say December is so far looking to be a good month. I have finished 2 books. I slowed down the last couple of days because I just went away. I do hope it will pick up now that I’m back home. (Can I just say this is so weird writing this before I’ve even gone away. I had to write a bunch of posts early. I just know that I won’t get much reading done.) Anywho, let’s dive in and see what books I wanted to read but didn’t this year. Continue reading “Blogmas Day 10: Books I Didn’t Get To in 2019”
My November TBR
Hey guys! So last month I didn’t end up doing a TBR and I feel I ended up reading a good amount of books. I feel this year I haven’t been following a set TBR which isn’t like me. Since it’s the second to last month of the year I want to try to get in the books I have been putting off. There are so many books I want to read. I do hope I can get to them by the end of the year. So let’s dive in and see what books I hope to read this month. Continue reading “My November TBR”
Waiting on Wednesday: The Toll By Neal Shusterman & The Starless Sea By Erin Morgenstern
Genre: Young Adult, Science Fiction, Fantasy
Pages: 627 pages
Release Date: November 5th 2019
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young
Plot: From New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman comes the thrilling conclusion to the Printz Honor–winning series Arc of a Scythe.
It’s been three years since Rowan and Citra disappeared; since Scythe Goddard came into power; since the Thunderhead closed itself off to everyone but Grayson Tolliver.
In this pulse-pounding conclusion to New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe trilogy, constitutions are tested and old friends are brought back from the dead.
Why I Need This Book: The moment I finished Thunderhead I hated that I had to wait for this book. Plus there was no set date so the waiting game began. Fast forward to now and the book will be out in less than a week! I can’t believe that the time is almost here. I can’t wait to see how this book is going to end. I am almost really sad that it’s ending because this has been one of my favorite series to read. I know it’s going to be a crazy ride.
The Starless Sea By Erin Morgenstern
Genre: Fiction, Fantasy, Adult
Pages: 498 pages
Release Date: November 5th 2019
Publisher: Doubleday Books
Plot: Zachary Ezra Rawlins is a graduate student in Vermont when he discovers a mysterious book hidden in the stacks. As he turns the pages, entranced by tales of lovelorn prisoners, key collectors, and nameless acolytes, he reads something strange: a story from his own childhood. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues–a bee, a key, and a sword–that lead him to a masquerade party in New York, to a secret club, and through a doorway to an ancient library, hidden far below the surface of the earth.
What Zachary finds in this curious place is more than just a buried home for books and their guardians–it is a place of lost cities and seas, lovers who pass notes under doors and across time, and of stories whispered by the dead. Zachary learns of those who have sacrificed much to protect this realm, relinquishing their sight and their tongues to preserve this archive, and also those who are intent on its destruction.
Together with Mirabel, a fierce, pink-haired protector of the place, and Dorian, a handsome, barefoot man with shifting alliances, Zachary travels the twisting tunnels, darkened stairwells, crowded ballrooms, and sweetly-soaked shores of this magical world, discovering his purpose–in both the mysterious book and in his own life.
Why I Need This Book: So it’s been a bit of time since Erin Morgenstern wrote a new book. The moment I heard she had one coming out this year I knew I had to add it to my TBR. I did read The Night Circus a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. So I’m excited for this one. This book seems really interesting and a lot of fun. I don’t know too much about it and I rather go into it not knowing much. I can’t wait to check it out when it comes out.
Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I seriously can’t wait for them to come out!
