March Wrap-up

Hey guys! Wow, March seriously flew by. I feel just yesterday I was creating my TBR for March. Now, I’m about to start creating a TBR for April. I read some really good books last month. I found some new authors who I really enjoy. I’m really looking forward to reading more from these authors. I’m hoping to post some reviews soon. I’ve been struggling trying to write down my thoughts on books lately. Anyway, let’s dive in and see what I read!

Belladonna By Adalyn Grace

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: This book was so good! It’s been a while since I’ve read a fantasy book. I don’t read them often but I enjoyed this a lot. It was very well written and kept me invested the whole time. I had to figure out what happened to Signa’s uncle’s wife and daughter. The end really had me screaming and just really excited for the next one. I’ll probably end up reading Foxglove this month. I can’t wait to continue this story.

The Reappearance of Rachel Price By Holly Jackson

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: Wow, this was a really good young adult mystery. I also didn’t want to put this book down. I have to say I was in shock the whole entire time reading this book. I’m not going to say much because I don’t want to spoil anything. You have to pick this book up. I’ve had an iffy start with Holly Jackson but this ended up being such a great read. I will be posting my reactions to the book tomorrow so be on the lookout for that. I can’t wait for you guys to pick this book up

Happily Never After By Lynn Painter

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: I’m currently in my romance era. I swear I just can’t stop reading romance books. I was drawn into this book by the summary. I mean going around breaking off weddings just sounded so intriguing to me. It’s not something I really hear happening often. This was fun. The weddings they broke off had some drama which I love. Plus, I ended up listening to the audiobook of this and they have a male and female narrator. Both did such a great job! Overall a fun read. *Thanks Libro.Fm for the free audiobook in exchange for my honest review*

Good Half Gone By Tarryn Fisher

My Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: I was looking forward to this one. I read the summary during the blog tour and was sold. Plus Libro.Fm had the book for March so I figured I’d listen to it as well. I really wanted to like this book but I struggled with it. It caught my interest at first then lost it. I found it to be a very predictable book. I also wasn’t a very big fan of the characters. Stuff happened that really just annoyed me. I was not a fan.

Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murders By Jesse Q. Sutanto

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
My Thoughts: This is hands down one of my new favorite books. I love Vera Wong so much. She is such a great character. This is a book I think I’ll be writing a full review. Hands down such a delightfully fun read. I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time. This wasn’t really on my radar but picked it up because of The Literally Dead Book Club. I highly recommend picking the audiobook. The narrator does a fantastic Vera voice. I can’t wait to read more from Jesse Q. Sutanto. Such a great writer!

Overall March was a great reading month. I really only had one dud. I discovered some new authors that I can’t wait to read more from. I have a new favorite five star read, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murders. I’m so happy with how this turned out. I can’t wait to see what April brings.
