Down The TBR Hole #67

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down The TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! I am so excited for this week. I see a lot of books I am familiar with. There are a couple I don’t really remember adding. So I am excited to relearn about them. So now let’s dive in!

Are You SleepingAre You Sleeping By Kathleen Barber

This book sounds really interesting. Plus I like the podcast aspect of it. I know it worked really well for the audiobook of Sadie so I’m interested to see how this book does it. I still need to read Sadie as well.

By a Charm & a CurseBy a Charm and Curse By Jaime Questell

This sounds so magical and fantastical. I really enjoy book books about magical circuses. So this book sounds right up my alley.

Fables, Vol. 19Fables, Vol. 19: Snow White (Fables #19) By Bill Willingham (Writer), Mark Buckingham (Illustrator), Shawn McManus (Illustrator)

So a while back when I first got into comics, this was the series that did it. I was legit buying the next volume of this series every other day. I sadly never finished it. I think I just wasn’t ready for it to end. So I never finished it. I would like to reread this series and actually finish it. I don’t know why but I have such a problem finishing most of the series I read.

TimekeeperTimekeeper By Tara Sim

I feel I have heard such good things about this book but it’s not a super hyped book. I have gotten into steampunk stories thanks to the Lady Mechanika series. So I really would like to check this out.

After AnnaAfter Anna By Lisa Scottoline

So this is a book I’ve had the e-arc of for a while now. I am not sure why I requested it. I haven’t had a huge push to read it. I do want to read it because I would like to move my netgalley rating up. So I will keep it on my TBR.

MacbethMacbeth By Jo Nesbø

Right now I have no interest in reading this book. I probably will check it out when I read more books by the author. I feel I just added it to my TBR because I was somewhat familiar with this author.

A Curious BeginningA Curious Beginning By Deanna Raybourn

So this book sounds right up my alley. It seems like it could be an adult version of Stalking Jack the Ripper. Since it takes place in Victorian London. It keeps me those vibes. I have heard great things about this. I do hope to start the series sometime this year.

Our Kind of CrueltyOur Kind of Cruelty By Araminta Hall

I am very intrigued by this book. The synopsis had me wanting more. I wanted to pick this up last year but just didn’t get around to it. I do hope to check it out at some point this year.

Tess of the RoadTess of the Road By Rachel Hartman

So this book has a lot of mixed reviews. It seems a lot of people I know that read this, didn’t really enjoy it. So I’m kinda skeptical about this one. Plus it seems like it would be better going into this reading the author’s other book, Seraphina. I have not read that yet. So I’ll look into that and go from there.

The Word is MurderThe Word Is Murder (Hawthorne #1) By Anthony Horowitz

The moment I heard about this book, I was sold. The summary was really interesting. It doesn’t say too much. It has me dying to know what is going to happen next. I really need to know. I can’t wait to pick this up.

  1. Sometimes, I do really look forward to these Down the TBR Hole posts because “should they stay or should they go”? The only steampunk book I remember ever reading was Philip Reeve’s Mortal Engines (which was really exciting), so I’m also intrigued by Timekeeper. I think you’ve made good choices in the books you’re keeping and the ones you’ve decided to let go!

    1. Thank you. I always feel bad about the books I let go because I’m like what if these are hidden gems. Same time I just hate having so many books on my TBR. I need to be realistic. Did they just turn Mortal Engines into a movie? If you like steampunk, I highly recommend Lady Mechanika comics.

      1. They did just turn Mortal Engines into a movie. It flopped, but I thought it was a fun movie, though not as detailed and with depth as the book. steampunk is a genre I find interesting, I’ll check out the comics!

      2. That’s such a shame that the movie flopped. I know they were trying to promote it with booktubers and bloggers. I saw them sending out the book in a nice little package with goodies. I’ll have to check it out.
