Blogmas Day 24: Top Ten Tuesday

Hey guys!!! It’s time again for another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is Books I Hope to Find Under My Tree. This is such a fun Christmas related theme. I feel each year I always ask for books I wanted but didn’t end up purchasing. This year I didn’t really get any books for my birthday so I’ve been looking forward to hopefully getting some for Christmas! So let’s dive in and see what I hope to find under my tree this year!

The Starless SeaThe Starless Sea By Erin Morgenstern

Reason: I read Night Circus by Erin a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. So the moment I heard she was coming out with another book I knew I needed it. Plus the summary sounds amazing. This is the main book I hope to get this Christmas!

Imaginary FriendImaginary Friend By Stephen Chbosky

Reason: I read Perks of Being a Wallflower years ago and loved it. So when I heard Stephen was coming out with an adult spooky novel, I knew I had to check it out. I really wanted to pick it up but never did.

Apocalyspe Suite (The Umbrella Academy)The Apocalypse Suite (The Umbrella Academy) Vol. 1 By Gerard Way (Writer), Gabriel Bá (Artist), Dave Stewart (Colourist)

Reason: So I’m a huge Gerard Way fan. Still freaking out over MCR reuniting the other day. Hoping for some tour dates soon. Anyway after finding out he wrote a comic, I knew I had to check it out. Plus I wanna watch the show at some point so thought I’d get started reading the comics.

Chilling Adventures of SabrinaChilling Adventures of Sabrina, Vol. 1: The Crucible By Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Robert Hack (Artist)

Reason: I was a huge fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I believe this is a creepier version of that. I’ve been wanting to check this out for a while. Plus Netflix turned it into a TV show and I’ve been meaning to watch that. I just haven’t so might as well check out the comics.

Tokyo Ghoul Monster Edition Vol. 2Tokyo Ghoul Monster Edition 4-5-6 By Sui Ishida

Reason: So I recently discovered Tokyo Ghoul. I bought Volume 1 of the Monster Edition. I haven’t read it yet. However I did read the first volume and really enjoyed it. So I put the second volume on my list to help push me to continue the series. I also know there is a TV show this and I really want to watch it.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Illustrated)Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter #2) By J.K. Rowling, and Jim Kay (Illustrator)

Reason: Well I already own all the Harry Potter books. I just really need these illustration versions. I went to this Harry Potter exhibit last year and just loved all of Jim Kay’s artwork. I didn’t realize he did the illustrated books until after that. So must collect them all.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Illustrated)Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter #3) By J.K. Rowling, and Jim Kay (Illustrator)

Reason: Like I said before I just need to own these. The artwork is so well done and I feel it really adds to the book. It’s so beautiful and feel it just adds to the experience of reading it.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Illustrated)Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter #4) By J.K. Rowling, Jim Kay (Illustrator)

Reason: This is my favorite Harry Potter book in the series. So I can only imagine how awesome the illustrations are for this book! This has been the one I’ve been waiting for. I am so happy it finally ended up coming out this year. I can’t wait to reread the series with the added illustrations.

Those are all the books I asked for this Christmas. I tried not to ask for too many because I have so many books I still need to read. I don’t have much room on my shelves. So trying to slow down on my book intake.

What are books you hope to find under the tree?

    1. Yeah I haven’t gotten a chance to read The Starless Sea but majority of people who read it loved it. So if it does sound interesting I highly recommend you checking it out.

Yes I am in love with the illustrated HP covers. They really did such an great job with these.

  1. I usually ask for the illustrated editions as presents, they are great, but I can never spend that money on myself. The Starless Sea is on top of my list as well, I hope you get all of these for Christmas!
