Down The TBR Hole #50

Hey guys! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole which was created by Lia @Lost In A Story! It’s officially my 50th post of this series! I can’t believe I’m come this far. This is something I’ve really enjoyed doing. I decided in honor of 50 I will be posting 20 books instead of the usual 10. I might start to do this now for every 10 posts I do. I do enjoy doing this but I love seeing my TBR decrease as fast as possible. So let’s dive in.

Unrivaled By Alyson Noel

So I don’t really remember adding this to my TBR. I do remember the cover. I reread the summary and it just sounds very cheesy. Plus it seems that most people that read this thought it was okay. This just doesn’t seem like a mystery I want to bother with.

Judgement: Go

Queen of Hearts By Collen Oakes

So I’ve never read Alice in Wonderland. I have seen a couple of movie verisons of it. I have to say I am drawn to this books by the cover. I do really enjoy them. I am interested in checking this series out.

Judgement: Keep

Thanks for the Trouble By Tommy Wallach

I honestly don’t have any interest in this book. I am not sure why I added it to my TBR.

Judgement: Go

Little Pretty Things By Lori Rader-Day

So this book sounds right up my alley. However after looking at people’s reviews they seem very mixed about it. I feel I have so many other mysteries to read. I rather focus on those.

Judgement: Go

The Start of Me and You By Emery Lord

I have never read an Emery Lord book before. I have heard a lot of good things about her books. I also heard some are pretty emotional. This sounds cute and emotional. I want to try it.

Judgement: Keep

Bats of the Republic By Zachary Thomas Dodson

So I’m not really sure how this ended up on my TBR. It does kinda intrigue me though. I think I might give this a try.

Judgement: Keep

The Summertime Girls By Laura Hankin

Eh this is another book that I’m going to pass on. I no longer have any interest in it.

Judgement: Go

We’re All in This Together By Amy Jones

So I honestly thought this was going to be a book I take off my TBR. However it does seem like it would be a fun read. I’m going to check it out.

Judgement: Keep

I Almost Forgot About You By Terry McMillian

I read the summary for this book and I don’t have any interest in it.

Judgement: Go

My Lady Jane By Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows

So I was debating if I should keep this on my list or not. I did get the second book in Owlcrate. I have heard really good things about these books so I will give them a try.

Judgement: Keep

This Savage Song By Victoria Schwab

So Victoria Schwab is an author I really need to read. I feel like everyone I follow has nothing but amazing things to say about her. I really need to pick up a book from her soon.

Judgement: Keep

I Let You Go By Clare Mackintosh

So I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this book. I actually ended up finding this a couple months ago in a $1 stack so I was super happy. I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet but I am excited to read it.

Judgement: Keep

The Butterfly Garden By Dot Hutchison

So this is a book I got free with amazon a while back. It seemed really interesting. It also has gotten really good reviews. I would like to check it out.

Judgement: Keep

The Dead and Buried By Kim Harrington

I am going to pass on this book.

Judgement: Go

Vanished By E.E. Cooper

So I think the comparison of this being like Pretty Little Liars and Gone Girl caught my attention but I read the summary and I don’t have much interest. Plus I know never to believe those comparisons.

Judgement: Go

Absent By Katie Williams

So this book has a lot of great reviews. It also is only 180 pages. I think I might pick this up soon to help me meet my goal since I am so behind.

Judgement: Keep

The Sweet Dead Life By Joy Preble

This is just another book I am no longer interested in.

Judgement: Go

All Is Not Forgotten By Wendy Walker

So I am seeing a bit of mixed reviews for this book. I think part of it might have to be about the heavy subject matter this book deals with. I did read a Wendy Walker book last year and I thought it was okay. I think I will give this one a try to see if I actually like her books or not.

Judgement: Keep

Two Summers By Aimee Friedman

So I actually met Aimee years ago. I went to a signing she had with two other authors. I ended up not reading any of the books until recently. Aimee’s book was the only one I actually picked up. It was okay. This book seems a bit too cheesey for me. I am going to pass.

Judgement: Go

Dorothy Must Die By Danielle Paige

So I’m a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz. This story really caught my attention. I am interested in checking it out. Seems like it could be good.

Judgement: Keep

  1. A couple of interesting keepers in there! I just finished reading a new book called Civil Terror: Gridlock by J. Luke Bennecke. Here is the link to the author’s website in case you want more info: (http://www.jlukebennecke.com/ ) It is the first in a series of I think 4, which is awesome because this one had me on the edge of my seat itching to read more and more! It was so engaging and I felt like there was the possibility that something like this could happen in the enar future. I thought it had one of the best antagonists in recent memory with Viktor in my opinion. Highly recommend it!

  2. Thanks Nick Grave for your kind words. So glad you enjoyed the story. Feel free to post a review on Amazon.com if you have a spare minute. The draft sequel is written and we’re editing right now. Tentative title: Waterborne (hint: the terrorists are at it again…they’re using waterborne pathogens this time…) 😉

    1. I really want to read This Savage Song. I always hear such great things about her books. I read City of Bones last year and enjoyed it. So now I would like to read her books for an older audience. Dorothy Must Die sounds interesting. I hope to get to both these soon. I hope you finish the series soon!
